02:28<gsimmons>renginez02: Install the 'wireless-tools' package, verify that you have a wireless interface (usually wlan0) available with the iwconfig command. Read /usr/share/doc/wireless-tools/README.Debian to configure this interface as necessary for use in your wireless network. Bring the network interface up with ifup.
02:28<debed>My printer is HP - Office jet 4300 which is multi functional one with scanner and fax too

02:43<debed>Hi, please help me out to setup a Hp Office jet printer in my network, The printer is working fine and was detected automatically to my local syste. but Im unable to setup in Network.
02:43<gsimmons>renginez02: You can manually acquire and install the relevant .deb packages, provided you also fulfil the dependencies of 'wireless-tools'. It's easier with apt-get or the package manager of your choice.
02:44<debed>freealan, Hi
02:44<jm_>debed: install cups
02:44<renginez02>gsimmons: then ill pick the apt-get install commonad...feeling much secure wif that ;-)
02:45<debed>jm_, I installed cups and also hpijs and hplip
02:45<jm_>debed: then you're all set
02:46<debed>jm_, yeah im able to setup it in local but the systems in network were unable to print
02:47<freealan>debed: Hi
02:47<jm_>debed: the docs explain how to configure printing clients
02:48<debed>jm_, In network printer there are four options for me CUPS printer(ipp), Windows printer (SMB), Unix Printer (LPD), Hp jet direct
02:48<buffoon_work>debed, open your browser, type in as address "localhost:631" and add it there with the right .ppd file (www.openprinting.org), choose hplip driver and discover the URL (beginning with hp:/) with the command "hp-probe"

To find which package(s) provide a foo virtual package, use $ apt-cache showpkg foo;

10:23<gsimmons>Reggae__: Then you'll have to remove your source-built kismet manually. At the very least, remove /usr/local/bin/kismet. Running "kismet" will then call /usr/bin/kismet. As explained previously: the kismet rt73 capture source is just an alias to the rt2500 capture source, which was introduced in later kismet versions. So you don't require a post-Etch version of kismet for your driver.

16:35<maxb_>i.e. you can probably omit it and debootstrap should figure out the one to use
