03:33<enouf>shze: GAH - no bueno :-/
03:34<enouf>the GUI fires up and when i click Start - it says it can;t "trace" and asks me to modprobe the module - but it's loaded - it seems because i ripped out it's "tracing" ability from the code, it won't trace - haha
03:35<Gathond>and does this surprise you?
03:39<enouf>i have no idea what this thing was supposed to be able to do
03:43<enouf>i mean, i see now why it doesn't work, and the code i removed from the .c file was no more than maybe 30 lines, and i can't read C code - so i had no idea what it was doing - but, those 30 lines also have two printk lines which seemed to be only to let one know of a test of loading and unloading it
03:43<enouf> printk(KERN_ALERT "sysprof: loaded (%s)\n", PACKAGE_VERSION);
03:43<enouf> printk(KERN_ALERT "sysprof: unloaded\n");
03:44<enouf>anyways - here's the chunk of code i removed (lines 246-> 280 which is the end of the file
03:46<enouf>Does anyone see anything in there that might be "hostap{d}-source" related?
03:47<enouf>the author mentions it as a prerequisite (hostap-source) which happens to have disapppeared after Sarge

05:54<boobz>hi, after upgrading to lenny, the reboot stop while mounting raid 1 devices, only md0 -> / was mounted. I managed to mount all other partitions but now i have a problem when doing an aptitude safe-upgrade, and files in /var/lib/apt/lists/* cannot be deleted
05:55<boobz>here is a ls -l on that directory :
05:55<boobz>-????????? ? ? ? ? ?
05:56<boobz>if i try to rm those files, i get a 'cannot access nfs file'
05:56<boobz>but no nfs on that machine. Any ideas on how to solve that problem ?
05:56<tzafrir_laptop>boobz, try: ls -lr
05:56<boobz>same thing
05:56<hawiak>weiss noed, versuech mal shutdown -h now
05:56<tzafrir_laptop>err... nm
05:57<boobz>i'm working remotely so i don't want to try to shutdown
05:57<hawiak>i see
05:57<hawiak>the point is
05:58<hawiak>either in lenny or sid, theres some kernel exec thing that makes reboots boot into a new kernel without rebooting the machine
05:58<boobz>?? don't understand
05:59<boobz>i think it's because when i rebooted, /usr wasn't mounted, so i tried to mount one of the raid disks and did a aptitude safe-upgrade

06:00<boobz>aptitude safe-upgrade tells me that the files to be updated are not certified anymore

06:00<boobz>what's too long ?
06:00<hawiak>so update the sources
06:00<hawiak>the lists*
06:00<boobz>did that, of course
06:00<hawiak>i dont use aptitude, what does apt-get say ?
