03:48<Supaplex>if you have ethernet access, just use mini.iso. it's 8mb or something. :)
03:48<Supaplex>!netinst
03:48<dpkg>well, netinst is a small CD or set of floppy images which installs Debian using an Internet connection, but which is not required for a base install to complete, see http://www.debian.org/CD/netinst/ If you use a dialup connection, ask me about <dialup install>. <netboot miniiso>, or ask me about <check iso image>
03:48<Supaplex>or that.
03:49<frankojanko>okay, that's clear. My question is about the transfert to the real box.

04:12<gsimmons>partha: From what I can determine, you'll need at least ALSA 1.0.15 for support of the Realtek ALC268. On Etch systems, this can be provided by installing an "etchnhalf" kernel (/msg dpkg etchnhalf). You may also need to supply "model=acer" as an option to the snd-hda-intel module.

04:21<hahnp>did you use sudo gconf-editor to edit the settings?
04:21<brunner>no, but I used it to confirm the port number
04:22<hahnp>the problem is that when you use sudo it takes affect to root not to the user you are loged in with
04:23<hahnp>there should be something wrong with xour .gconf
04:23<brunner>I tried it with sudo once, but I wasn't running it with sudo when I got that output
04:23<hahnp>no but you configured something using sudo
04:23<brunner>you mean ekiga, or something prior to trying this?
04:25<hahnp>i think theres something wrong with your configuration
04:25<brunner>hahnp: would you help me understand how you know it's related to .gconf?

04:27<brunner>oh wow, this was incredibly stupid
04:27<hahnp>but the problem you have seems to be an configuration problem in your gconf and in case you did some configuration there.

15:15<[agatha]>i think they have itunes configured not to work on wine i've never managed i always get an error at some point
15:15<mattgun>see i started to download it, i guess wine read the .exe file and then my screen went black, desktop any everything...lol
15:15<[agatha]>but if it's for an ipod maybe you can try amarok (as long as it's not a nano 4th gen should work)

22:37<gsimmons>leathalduck: The rt2860sta driver is also buggy. See http://wiki.debian.org/rt2860sta#issues for workarounds.
