23:05<keaton>Well, I just switched my desktop machine from Ubuntu, and I'm setting up Compiz-Fusion. 23:06<keaton>I also distinctly remember setting up desktop cube so that when I was focused on the desktop, middle clicking the mouse could be used to pan the cube. But now when I try to set that control, it pans when I middle click with any window focused. Little things like this are bugging me everywhere in compiz.

23:28<fgh>doesnt X11 over SSH take quite much bandwith?
23:29<abrotman>!shfs
23:29<dpkg>shfs has been deprecated. See <sshfs>.
23:29<abrotman>!sshfs
23:29<dpkg>A FUSE-based filesystem that uses <SSH>, packaged for Debian. It is a nifty way to securely mount remote resources and doesn't rely on NFS or samba. See http://fuse.sf.net/sshfs.html, http://sf.net/apps/mediawiki/fuse?title=FAQ . Remember to modprobe fuse and add yourself to the 'fuse' group. Ask me about <fuse>.
23:29<someguyau>fgh: it isn't great but I'm only using it on the odd occasion I need to show someone a GUI screen on my headless server (local LAN only)
