---Logopened Wed Mar 17 00:00:14 2010
00:00<syber>bugzilla at winehq suggested I build from the most recent git branch.
00:01-!-angasule [~angasule@201.250.82.161] has quit [Remote host closed the connection]
00:01<syber>since it involves and active bug issue
00:01<interbird>remember that the crashed program is a windows proggie; no ensurance it will work with newer versions of wine; better to look for alternatives, true ?
00:02<syber>There aren't any that I am aware of for AVR coding and simulation
00:02<amitz>syber: can't you jsut wait for the .deb released by winehq? Perhaps a few days wait?
00:02<syber>I found only one that was code vision that also crashes on wine
00:04<syber>It will be two week before the next release I think. I suppose I could wait, but I get a bit OC over these kind of things
00:04<syber>:)
00:05<syber>In any case I still need to fix my dpkg problem.
00:05<amitz>oh, you're pulling from git now, never mind. :-)

02:04<eeeekyellowsnow>nope, i didn't know what keynote is until 5 minutes ago. im looking for alternatives of using oo and office
02:05<gdb>For presentation software, I think those *are* your options. What version of Office created this document? I'm guessing either Office 2007 or Office:mac 2008, yes?
02:05<gdb>(Again, there's koffice, you might try that.)
02:06<eeeekyellowsnow>office 2007 yes. i think it was a docx.
02:06<adb> sisu
02:06<eeeekyellowsnow>those docx don't open so neatly on oo
02:06<gdb>I believe in Office you have the option (via a plugin) to safe documents in ODF format. Might you try saving the presentation in OpenDoc format and then seeing how it behaves in OpenOffice?

Up until I installed -- and then tried to remove -- a chroot, my two burners have been on the fritz. Unfortunately, instructions for the removal of a chroot appear to be terribly scarce, unlike instructions for establishing them. The same thing goes, BTW, for my sound card and its mixer programs.
03:03<petemc>there isnt much involved with removing a chroot, exit from it, rm it should do it

11:38<dpkg>Ubuntu is based on Debian, but it is not Debian, and it is unlikely to live up to Debian's standards (see <Debian policy>). Only Debian is supported on #debian. Use #ubuntu (irc.freenode.net) instead. Even if the channel happens to be less helpful, support for distributions other than Debian is offtopic on #debian. See also <based on debian>.
