12:04<BarackO>isn't autofs - just for network drives?
12:04<BarackO>!usbmount
12:04<dpkg>methinks usbmount is a script to automatically mount/umount USB drives as they are inserted/removed: http://lists.debian.org/debian-mentors/2004/10/msg00308.html ; aptitude install usbmount; does not support <vfat> filesystems by default. Read /usr/share/doc/usbmount/README for the reason and amend /etc/usbmount/usbmount.conf to enable. Also ask about <pmount>.
12:05<BarackO>!autofs
12:05<dpkg>autofs is a kernel-based automounter that mounts remote shares when directories are accessed. See http://wiki.deiban.org/AutoFs and http://www.debian-administration.org/articles/127. Some regard it as a hackish p.o.s. and the 5 minute default timeout for unmounting is unlikely to be what you want. If you are looking for hotplugging support for USB storage, then ask me about <automount> instead.

14:13<Theta>hello guy, I have problem installing debian (netinstall 140MB). I just bought new notebook with Win7 (was no possibility to choose linux) and installed it there from prepared installacion on disk. Than i made some space using win disc manager (100GB). SO the idea was to install debian into that space. But during install when i had to choose, where to install, i found a problem: I can´t choose
14:13<Theta>the free space, it just let me see information about it (if i try to choose manually) and if i choose assisted method, it keeps selecting whole disk (format...). So pls help: how to keep Win7 and install debian into that space?
