00:55<And1>Anyone knows a simple way how to strip EXIF data in GIMP(!)? I can't uncheck the "save exif data" checkbox in die jpg-save-advanced-option dialog, it's greyed out.

00:56<mattcen>Any reason you want GIMP specifically? It can be done with ImageMagick pretty simply
00:57<And1>mattcen: If I modify it in GIMP, then it's saved automatically and I wouldn't need to execute another command as well. Lets say it's just a matter of foolishness. :-$
00:58<mattcen>Fair enough. Well if you can't find a way to get it to work in GIMP, 'mogrify -strip $filename' should do what you want (might need a small tweak or two)
00:59<And1>Using debian sid btw. -- Ok thanks, I'll write that down somewhere. :)

02:30<m3rc05m1>Hey gus, just did a fresh install of Lenny a couple days ago. I'm currently SSHed into that machine in an Xterm, and my tabs are only one space long. I am also SSHed into another machine with Lenny and in an Xterm, and its tabs are normal. I did a fresh install on both of these within three hours, so I'm mystified as to why one has short tabs. How do I set the tabs back to the regular eight spaces?

I note the User Agent string changes every HTTP request or so. Can mod security handle that? Is there a recipe. Does it handle big proxies.... Other generic solutions appreciated... Most bots only do one or two events, so IP block listing is likely to be futile and counter productive, we

I did no mute anything, no log, and same video under vlc/mplayer works. If i remove manually .config/smplayer, sound is back. I relaunch the video, sound is muted again ...

11:50<Silicium01>firmware is the same as driver right?
11:51<Silicium01>dpkg brcm80211
11:51<dpkg>brcm80211 is an open source mac80211 driver released by Broadcom and currently in development, supporting the <BCM4313>, <BCM43224> and <BCM43225> PCIe wireless LAN chipsets. Included as a staging driver in Debian 2.6.32 kernel images for x86. Firmware is required (bcm43xx-0.fw, bcm43xx_hdr-0.fw), ask me about <non-free sources> and install the firmware-brcm80211 package to provide.
11:51<babilen>Silicium01: No (and there are no "drivers" in Linux, but kernel modules) -- "firmware" typically refers to some binary blob placed in /lib/firmware/ needed by a kernel module
