00:12<dpkg>rumour has it, gopher is the only common-place standardised virtual file system and is defined in RFC 1436. Use lynx for Gopher sites and the "gopher" package for Gopher+ sites. iceweasel prior to version 4 has Gopher support, from iceweasel 4 Gopher will only work if an add-on is installed (e.g. overbite-ff). KDE users try kio-gopher. To serve Gopher content try the pygopherd. Also try #gopherproject on freenode

09:20<SynrG>hstrutz: you could try "file /tmp/gnupodcast_media_4db02b5f_d6ae7cf" to see what sort of file it is
09:21<pcc>I built a kernel package using "fakeroot make deb-pkg" as described here: but when I boot this kernel I get "Loading initial ramdisk..." "error: couldn't read file" and then a kernel panic. the initrd file exists, and I have no problems reading it with gunzip/cpio while booted into another kernel but it is about 80MB in size (~8 times larger than other initrds)
09:22<hstrutz>SynrG, Ah,. actually, I should've said that already. Its a html-file, saying that the mp3 ddoesn't exist - but it actually do, as you can see yourself, if you check the rss..

09:26<SynrG>clearly the episode itself is fine. maybe some other file referenced in the body of the article?
09:26<hstrutz>SynrG, well, its skips the file for some reason
09:27<SynrG>yes, but ... multiple files are downloaded ...
09:27<SynrG>so maybe the feed breaks because one of them (not the mp3 itself) really isn't there.
09:27<SynrG>and this could actually be due to breakage in the feed itself, and not a gnupod issue at all
09:27<hstrutz>SynrG, actually the same happens when I drop the artwork option..
09:28<SynrG>so the question is, what's the text of the /tmp file? what file does it say doesn't exist?
09:28<SynrG>or does it?

22:40<dudemeister>Hi, Can someone tell me how to change the gnome timeout time?
22:40<dudemeister>Like if I leave the computer, it logs out after a few minutes
22:41<dudemeister>I was wondering how to disable that.
22:41<edbian>dudemeister: It's part of the screensaver I think
22:41<edbian>dudemeister: system -> preferences -> screensaver. Choose not to lock the screen on screensaver
22:42<dudemeister>Thanks a lot! Really digging debian.
22:42<dudemeister>set up a web server with xampp, running a minecraft server... it's great
