04:40<wolfgangsz|2>we are subject to PCI-DSS scans and these folks hammer our firewalls with over 1000 connection requests per second, which triggered our SYN flood rule and that then resulted in the scan failing. I had to basically disable these rules for their IP addresses to get the scan to succeed. Now I wonder whether I should maybe use some different kind of protection.

22:29<gsimmons>tapout: Anything providing the httpd virtual package (/msg judd rprovides httpd) will satisify that dependency of roundcube-core. You probably want to state 'php5-cgi' in an aptitude/apt-get install command.

23:56<acroporas>I am on testing. Recent update has left my computer S...L...O...W. Things as simple as switching tabs in firefox take 10-15 seconds. Searching on google has lead me to believe that to solve this problem I need to downgrade xserver from 2:1.11 to 2:1.10. I have no idea how to do that and I have not been able to find any instructions on how to do that. Can anyone help?
