02:24<DragonDon>greetings all. I'm trying to setup an irc radio station, one of the requirements is libmysqlclient.so.18. how do I get this? Doesn't seem to be listed in synpatic

02:26<Khades_>whoops, sorry wrong channel
02:26<SamB>!sources.list
02:26<dpkg>A suitable /etc/apt/sources.list for Debian 7 "Wheezy" has three lines: "deb http://http.debian.net/debian/ wheezy main" "deb http://security.debian.org/ wheezy/updates main" "deb http://http.debian.net/debian/ wheezy-updates main". 05:27<Trampel>Hi I use debian 7.1 and maybe I found a bug in grub2: In grub.cfg I set gfxmode=1024x768x16 and gfxpayload=keep but dmesg shows me 1024x768x _24_. When I replace keep with 1024x768x16 it works. info grub tells me the video mode is kept. Maybe it is meant to keep either graphics or text mode? Is it a bug either in grub2 or in the docs? In the docs, the phase of the moon is mentioned, but I didn't check that.

09:58<azyr_>im wondering why did it work before and now it doesnt....
09:59<babilen>azyr_: If you want to run testing then just remove references to stable/squeeze from your sources.list and use a setup such as "/msg dpkg tum" -- Given that you already track unstable running testing might be a bit tricky as you would have to downgrade a couple of packages from unstable to testing.
10:00<babilen>azyr_: But read http://wiki.debian.org/DebianUnstable then decide what kind of setup you want and we can then discuss how to achieve that. fwiw, testing and unstable are explicitly supported in #debian-next and you should ask there.

12:07<dpkg>The Raspberry Pi is an open hardware design based on a Broadcom system-on-a-chip, requiring <non-free> <firmware>. Debian's <armel> port works fine, but does not use the Pi's hardware floating point unit. 15:00<retrospectacus>Blizzbob: it is really not clear what your problem is. If you want pidgin, "apt-get install pidgin". If that didn't work, show us - http://paste.debian.net . The solution may be to edit sources.list ... updating/upgrading will *not* install pidgin or screen if they are not already.
