01:11<thatguychuck>I'm building a post install bash script for packages and conf files, is there a flag I can add to "apt-get -y nvidia-kernel-dkms" that will skip the warnings about xserver and xorg-conf?
01:11<james41382>i installed wheezy recently and setup / and swap as encrypted partitions. Booting up seems fine and the OS seems fine, but when I shutdown I see this message "Stopping early cryto disks...sda6_crypt (busy)...failed."
01:11<james41382>Any ideas?

01:14<thatguychuck>There are two blue pop up boxes, one is about the already loaded conflicting noveau driver, and the second is another blue box that warns xorg is not configured.

01:18-!-paco123 [~paco171@190.174.100.219] has quit [Quit: Leaving]
01:19<jm_>for nouveau check it says it can be preseeded, see the start of /var/lib/dpkg/info/nvidia-support.templates, for xorg config it doesn't say it, but might also work, the option is in xserver-xorg-video-nvidia.config (same dir)
01:19<jm_>phillipsjk: you could use pinning

01:24<thatguychuck>jm_: Thank you for that. My bash-fu isn't that strong yet. Thus far it's the only part of the script that requires input, I may just move it to the top and call it good. It's a script that will only run once in a blue moon anyway. Thank you though!
01:26<jm_>thatguychuck: you shouldn't need much scripting for this, heck, even something like setting the noninteractive might help (man 7 debconf)
01:26<jm_>noninteractive front-end

01:28<thatguychuck>It's more of a learning exercise at this point. You would probably cry in horror if you saw it, but it works.
01:28<phillipsjk>bot says backports are what I want to check first (they use pinning)
01:30<thatguychuck>phillipsjk: What package are you looking for?
01:31<phillipsjk> xserver-xorg-video-nouveau
01:31*phillipsjk had that in th ecopy&paste buffer :)
01:32<thatguychuck>Ah, It doesn't look like it's in backports at the moment,

04:40<llandon>jm_ because it's an critical system in our infrastructure, so an upgrade to 64bit will be pain in the ass (it will be necessary in future, but not now)

13:47<zipy>i think in xubuntu had that entry too
13:47<SynrG>(but eeepc_laptop may not be appropriate for your model either ... we'll see)
13:47<SynrG>if that works, update your grub config with that
