03:00<musca>digitsm2: nvidia-kernel-legacy-173xx-dkms
03:01<digitsm2>I think it got installed after 'sudo aptitude install nvidia-glx-legacy-173xx'. It's now installed anyway
03:01<musca>digitsm2: the dynamic kernel modul support will rebuild the nvidia kernel modul for any new installed kernel in the future.

04:51<kmclements>to reinstall .. so i have to install the fglrx fglrx-amdcccle package and again crashed where is would only load to the :/ and thats it does any one have anything i can try or some thing i can look at to figure it out

07:07<nocturnal>SynrG: Oh ok, now I understand what you mean. I thought you were talking about the regular wireless (iwconfig), which is what I tried because an empty psk="" caused problems. so you're saying I should use key_mgmt=NONE instead of setting an empty PSK phrase. thanks!
07:08<SynrG>nocturnal: yes.
07:08<SynrG>otherwise it thinks it is encrypted and with an empty passphrase :p
07:08<njuergens>because they are redundant (you have squeeze repository and security updates in there already, nearer the top)
07:08<nocturnal>SynrG: yeah, that doesn't even work. wpa_supplicant can't start

07:10<njuergens>i overlooked that
07:10<SynrG>nocturnal: as for wpa_cli, i do find that if you just set up for roaming you need *some* kind of control over which network to select and not let it just roam to whichever one it thinks is "best", because "best" isn't always what it thinks :/
07:11<SynrG>nocturnal: or wpa_gui if you prefer
07:11<Flakk><njuergens> Ok i will change 'stable' to 'squeeze' - so do you think this was the reason for error messages?

08:04<kimda>hi. I've got a weird kvm issue. After a while connecting to the kvm vm client with ssh takes a long time (8-9 sec). If I do iperf tests between host and guest it's fast and after these tests the ssh connection to the guest is also normal again.

11:27<babilen>olasd: yeah, I understood your initial use case but only ever dealt with the "cups restrictions based on user/groups" one
11:27<olasd>right
11:28<olasd>haven't seen anything to do the restrictions based on host
11:29<babilen>And AFAICT the "don't print on the other side of the campus" is managed over here by grouping us into different groups (inf-level0-people, inf-level1-people, ..., at-level0-people, ...) they already use for various mailing lists and other stuff.
11:29<olasd>right
11:29<babilen>So I was curious if you simply decided against a complicated "per host" scheme and opted for the simpler one above or if you couldn't find something
11:30<babilen>It might be possible to do this based on subnets I guess, but haven't looked into that either
