02:21<jned>themill, both
02:22<themill>Just about any mail client (mail user agent) can talk smtp to exim and send mail (Thunderbird etc). For them to receive email, you'd need an imap server like dovecot there too
02:22<jned>themill, dovecot is the easiest one?
02:22<themill>exim delivers the mail into a mailbox; dovecot provides access to that mailbox by imap

05:32<quietone>what ever I do wrong I do consistently :-(
05:33<quietone>stdhell, I don't understand your question
05:34<stdhell>Your ssh key could be password protected. Is that the password you're being asked for?
05:34<stdhell>Or is it your password on the system you're trying to connect to?
05:34<stdhell>(Maybe you should tell us what commands you have used...)

05:36<quietone>yes the key is in authorized_keys.
05:36<EmleyMoor>I've got two machines, both supposedly following wheezy, with the addition of the stable iceweasel from mdn. One is out of date with the kernel, the other with iceweasel. Why would that happen? (I have another machine on wheezy that is up to date with the kernel)
05:36<stdhell>Any error messages?
05:36<quietone>stdhell, no
05:36<Stummi>quietone, try ssh in debug mode on both sides and see if there is a usefull output
05:37<babilen>quietone: Is it *really* called "" and located in the CWD? How do you connect afterwards? Could you paste the output of "ssh -vvvv user@host" to (replace both host and user with the actual values) ?
05:38<TobiX>waelkd: debian-6.0.7-amd64-xfce+lxde-CD-1.iso works fine in a VM... Which CDs did you try?
05:38<EmleyMoor>The one "out of date with iceweasel" is now correct again
05:38<babilen>quietone: I ask because your ssh key is typically located in ~/.ssh/ and the standard filename is ~/.ssh/id_rsa{,.pub}
05:39<babilen>quietone: Well, to be precise: Any of ~/.ssh/id_dsa, ~/.ssh/id_ecdsa and ~/.ssh/id_rsa with the latter being the default for rsa (which you should use these days)

05:43<babilen>Most IW versions do as they switch the corresponding xulrunner package
05:43<EmleyMoor>themill: The iceweasel problem was just a matter of timing...
05:44<themill>babilen: yeah, I don't know if the update for iceweasel from 17 esr 8 to esr 9 requires one though
05:44<themill>EmleyMoor: ah

Currently I am using debian 7.0.1 amd64, I have problems with html5, My memory is used much more and the system works slowly in my opinion. Would it not be better to use bigmen kernel?

06:08<babilen>adri: It's impossible to answer that; amd64 allows you to use more registers and processor specific instructions that you would miss out on with i386 ... memory footprint is/might be higher. There is no clear cut "yes" or "no" answer. Please bear in mind that the per-process memory limitation still exists even with a bigmem kernel (you can only have more processes that use all your memory collectively)

12:20<dpkg>Linux doesn't include support for SD cards because the SD Card Association license disallows open source drivers, probably because of their product's "security features" (read: soul-sucking DRM). For more information, see Some "SD Cards" seem to work in free software as MMC cards - you get the storage and bandwidth, but not the DRM - so they are GREAT!
12:20<wazdra>so, pushing it a second time removes the hardware lock, but i still have the software lock. Service network manager restart doesn't help to get this back.
