To install the proprietary "nvidia" driver, see http://wiki.debian.org/NvidiaGraphicsDrivers or ask me about <nvidia dkms>, <nvidia legacy>; installing this directly from nvidia.com (i.e. with <nvidia-installer>) is _not_ supported in #debian, please go to #nvidia on irc.freenode.net.
05:46<jm_>follow the wiki guide
05:47<Elvano>I tried installing nouveau driver afterwards, but same result. I'll take a look at the wiki
05:48<SynrG>you don't "install" the nouveau driver
05:48<SynrG>you just don't have an xorg.conf, and don't have a blacklist in modprobe.d, and nouveau should load fine
05:48<SynrG>the nouveau driver is already present on your system.

22:43<themill>Do you have the "linux-kbuild-3.2" package installed? (also, that module is already in the kernel packages)
22:46<mzx89>no, i didn't have that package installed
22:47<mzx89>it's already there but can i tell if it's an older version? because the device disconnects frequently and i thougth i'd update the driver

22:47<themill>updating your entire kernel to the one from wheezy-backports is probably a simpler and better tested approach
