00:04<arawra>I'm having some issues with installing a driver for the WNIC Realtek 8188ee, does anyone know if there is a driver for debian?
00:04<arawra>I created a thread here with my issues for something I've already tried
00:05<gsimmons>dpkg: rtl8188ee
00:05<dpkg>Realtek RT8188EE-based PCIe wireless LAN devices (PCI ID 10ec:8179) are supported by the rtl8188ee Linux kernel driver introduced at Linux 3.10; Debian 7 "Wheezy" users, ask me about <bdo kernel>. Firmware from userspace is required (rtlwifi/rtl8188efw.bin) and packaged since firmware-realtek 0.39.
00:06-!-chrleon [] has quit [Ping timeout: 480 seconds]
00:06<arawra>so when I install it, its "sudo apt-get install firmware-realtek 0.39" ?
00:06<arawra>I tried it as just "firmware-realtek" but I've had no change

00:09<gsimmons>arawra: No, you would need to install later versions of these packages (linux-image-*, firmware-realtek) from wheezy-backports. Ask the dpkg infobot for more information ; /msg dpkg wheezy-backports ; /msg dpkg bdo kernel

00:44<gsimmons>arawra: You can install a later Linux kernel version to your system, which will provide the mainline rtl8188ee driver for support of your wireless LAN device. Firmware will also be required for its use. 06:20<dzan>valdyn, not but I found the issue
06:21<dzan>same one I faced yesterday :D
06:21<dzan>apparently debian really can't deal with an unlocked extra core ( amd sempron )
06:21<dzan>all kinds of weird behaviour
06:21<valdyn>dzan: that makes no sense
06:21<valdyn>dzan: maybe that extra core is broken
06:22<dzan>valdyn, I used it before without an issue
06:22<dzan>if I enable it I get segfaults in the installer
06:22<dzan>and I can't log in half of the time
06:22<dzan>login hangs and using pts2 I see it's at 100% cpu
06:22<valdyn>dzan: thats a pretty clear indication of hardware issues
06:23<dzan>yeah maybe.. i'll just leave it at 1 then :)

The input are recognize. It's work great with jack (both input and output). No problem also when I'm logging with another person and when i plug the card before the boot. Thanks for your help.
