00:17<me>I'm trying to add a custom command to thunar (in xfce debian) for right click options, ie. where when I right click on a gpg encrypted file, I can select the option to decrypt the file using default settings. The only problem is that I need to open a terminal first, then call the gpg command. How do I string these two commands together inside the thunar "condigure custom actions" dialog?

00:28<Infiltrator>me: Why do you need to open a terminal first? Just redirect the output of gpg to a file (with the same name, but without the `.gpg`).
00:29<me>Infiltrator: how else will I be able to enter the passphrase?
00:30<Infiltrator>me: Otherwise, check the man page of your terminal emulator. For example, xterm has the `-e` option.
00:31<Infiltrator>me: Pretty sure that gpg can ask you for it without a terminal. (Maybe it needs the GUI version of gpg, though.)
00:31<me>ok, thanks.

00:34<Nemoder_>neo1691: if you only mount the home folder you will only be able to copy files under it, if you want to copy all files you would have to login with root
00:34<chaoszero>hello is any one else havin issues with setting associations to files in kde 4.12? my specific problem is making audacious default mp3 player it keeps reverting to vlc
00:35<neo1691>Nemoder_, Changing the permissions of home folder to executable solved the issue
00:36<Nemoder_>oh i see, ya that helps too :)

Now why would i say this? ... well, i installed the latest version of Ubuntu but they seem to have destroyed the virtual file system. This system only shows files and directories sporadically. If you package a file, and then package it again with other contents the same contents will still be in the package. Doing "echo '0' >" and then repackaging it works fine.

23:33<Oddzball>linux mint Debian booted, I let the update manager install updates.. it failed.. now it's all messed up
23:34<Oddzball>in addition to it not recognizing my 770 gtx gpu
23:34<Oddzball>but that's really more of an after thought at this point
23:34<gsimmons>Oddzball: Linux Mint (and LMDE) is not supported here, you would want to join #linuxmint-help on for support.
23:35<Cappy>I believe I need this, yet it says it is included in the kernel

23:37<Cappy>Could you explain that a tad...
23:38-!-root is now known as Overdosed
23:38<gsimmons>Cappy: It's as the document describes: the driver for your wireless LAN device requires firmware for its use, which can be supplied by installing the "firmware-ipw2x00" package from non-free (/msg dpkg non-free sources). After the package is installed, the module itself needs to be reloaded (modprobe -r ipw2200 ; modprobe ipw2200) for its use.
23:39<dpkg>If you have a question, just ask! For example: "I have a problem with ___; I'm running Debian version ___. When I try to do ___ I get the following output ___. I expected it to do ___." Don't ask if you can ask, if anyone uses it, or pick one person to ask. We're all volunteers; make it easy for us to help you. If you don't get an answer try a few hours later or on See <smart questions><errors>.
23:40<gsimmons>Cappy: Once that's all performed, you'll have an interface available for use by your network manager.
