06:29<SynrG>CeBe: that's fairly definitive, then. i guess if you had no problems during that time, you were just lucky ... (or you did have problems, but didn't detect them, so were simply unobservant :)

06:33<CeBe>SynrG: sure I fully understand. Just had no problem with that before and also it is not noted anywhere.
06:33<undead>Brigo, I think it will be more easely, than new installation, because for some reason, i don't nkow why, on all my computers debian netinstall don't want install grub correctly in the end of installation process

06:35<SynrG>CeBe: it is hinted at in RFC 3834. while "mail@" is not specifically mentioned, "mailer-daemon@" is: http://paste.debian.net/88331/ (excerpted from http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc3834)
06:35<undead>dev/sdb1* :)
06:36<Brigo>undead, where do you mounted it?
06:36<SynrG>CeBe: the RFC does not give an exhaustive list of "addresses commonly used as return addresses by responders"
06:37<DNS>olimpico: oftc is the official since 2006 afaik: http://www.debian.org/News/2006/20060604
06:37<SynrG>i guess this is left to the implementation, and would tend to include anything that has been observed in the field to be a responder.
06:37<undead>Brigo, sorry, I'm too noob in english and linux -_- I don't know how to answer, because I monted it from GUI with mouse, but now fdisk says that this disk is /dev/sdb1

11:17<nido>Good day. I am trying to install 'libv8' on my debian system to see it complain about unmet dependencies. specifically, "libv8-3.14.5 : Depends: libc6 (>= 2.14) but 2.13-38+deb7u1 is to be installed". I sseem to be getting these kind of errors a lot so I don't think this is a 'normal' problem

17:17<babilen>pH0: That website does in no way mention the phrase you just quoted, but I assume that you are in fact referring to the udeb page. udebs are only to be used during the installation and "loading additional installer components" will simply load additional installer components. This is not the same as the software selection to be installed on the system later on.
17:18<babilen>pH0: Think of it as "add functionality that isn't always needed to the installer"
17:18<MrFrood>Cazzano: depends where in the world you are, here in the UK I'd be suprised to see a new computer sold with FreeDOS but then again I know one of the occasional posters here from the Balkens purchased a new Lenovo laptop with FreeDOS installed a while back and installed Linux on it. Google the chip as long as it is X86 or X64 you should have no issus
17:19<MrFrood>or at least no more than the rest of us
17:20<Cazzano>MrFrood thanks. I think it's just a good way to make the notebooks cheaper since you dont need to pay for a windows license. but if intel says its cpu can work with 64bit instruction sets then it should be fine?

17:20<MrFrood>Cazzano: I'm not googling the chip for you

17:21<valdyn>Cazzano: the cpu is supported, but there really is no cpu that is not supported by debian
