04:30<OdyX>Oebele: bugs to be fixed by using the testing version, reporting bugs and eventually providing patches. Fwiw, connecting HDMI audio or a bluetooth speaker is straightforward with pulseaudio (modulo some buttons to twiddle in pavucontrol)
04:32<Oebele>OdyX: so, this behaviour is considered stable?
04:32<Oebele>OdyX: so if I understand correctly, pulseaudio is included to provide support for HDMI etc?
04:34<OdyX>Oebele: it is provided because it provides an overall better support for many modern use cases and because it is a recommandation of the desktop environments

04:35<OdyX>Oebele: we don't have a CTO deciding what's included in stable or not; we have maintainers working to make their software work as best as they can.
04:36<OdyX>Oebele: what I'm saying is that complaining about pulseaudio in stable will _not_ get it changed: we don't touch stable unless for fixing security fixes; hence my suggestion to try making it better for the next release.
04:36<Oebele>yes, yes I know, please don' t take it as a complaint or anything, I know how open source works
04:37<Oebele>I was just wondering
04:37<Oebele>because it surprises me
04:38<OdyX>good :) You'd need to investigate the changelog entries leading to the version actually in stable, as well as bugs still affecting stable if there are.

09:08<zathras>does this have to do with perl settings or a perl interpreter version or something?
09:09<petn-randall>zathras: #perl might be a better place to ask, along with a paste of the script if it's doable.
09:12<somiaj>google searches seem to show people with that error have a an error in their script, also libsoap-lite-perl (SOAP::Lite) seems to get hit alot with that as well, do you have that package installed?

23:55<zykotick9>mask: i _highly_ doubt it.
23:56<LtL>mask: not that i know of but you could do this, open a terminal and hit tab 3 times and answer yes
23:56<mask>LtL, i hit tab 3 times, nothing happened
23:57<LtL>mask: i've never had that _not_ happen
23:58<LtL>mask: it didn't prompt you with a question?
23:58<zykotick9>LtL: i just get beeps ;)
23:58<mask>LtL, nope, i tried 3 times, then i tried many many times
