00:20<bjb>is it possible to give an ipv6 address on the domain-name-servers option of dhcpd (isc-dhcp-server)?
00:21<bjb>For now, the network is an IPv4 network, but I'm transitioning to IPv6 and I want to address my name server with IPv6 address

00:21<bjb>so dhcpd is working on IPv4 handing out IPv4 addresses, but I want to specify an IPv6 address for the nameserver
00:27<themill>junkmechanic: Debian's stable kernel has supported that hardware since the 7.5 point release. You need to talk to the crunchbang people about how to get an updated kernel.
00:27<themill>junkmechanic: you'll find them in #crunchbang on irc.freenode.net

When you press print client get's msg to print some file and than client passes this file to configured server. Both this client and server part of cups is installed on your machine. For institutes or offices this comes in handy as you can install client part on all machines and keep and dedicated print server where all printers are connected. Hope this explains some

12:57<himanshu>Oh
12:58<devil>himanshu: the latest version is crap. does not work here for longer than 5 minutes

12:58<devil>switched even
12:59<himanshu>devil: unfortunately I require it for work, and its quite crappy with me..especially Screen Sharing.
12:59<armagedon-76>in old versions of debian worked very well
12:59<devil>himanshu: in connection to a windows box after 5 minutes sound got choppy, then the whole video froze
13:00<devil>himanshu: for screen sharing there is teamviewer (also proprietary)

23:01<cyr_>hello
23:01<WangDang>reporting back: after changing the mirror I was hitting in sources.list, my lenny-squeeze update upgrade have succeeded. I've also been able to update the kernel and udev. dist-upgrade remains. Thanks for your help and suggestions that have got me past my block
23:01<cyr_>I would like to know if there could be a General Resolution to remove Systemd from debian jessie?
23:02<themill>dpkg, congratulate WangDang
23:02<dpkg>Yay WangDang, you did it!
23:02<cyr_>the systemd thing was decided by the tech-ctte in a tie vote, not the distribution as a whole
23:02-!-Guest1322 [~kardan@000174c7.user.oftc.net] has quit [Ping timeout: 480 seconds]
23:03<cyr_>and, to my understanding, the systemd fans are trying to keep it that way by banning those who are too critical about systemd from the mailing lists for "trolling"
23:03<cyr_>(they did this in Arch linux too, it is their M.O.)
23:03<centrx>cyr_, I think the point is that it's already decided for Jessie
23:03<themill>cyr_: that's not correct at all.
23:04<cyr_>centrx: no
23:04<cyr_>there was no General Resolution
23:04<cyr_>it was shoved in through the backdoor and anyone who is against it gets banned
23:04<themill>cyr_: not true. Please take your paranoia elsewhere.
23:04<cyr_>I've seen it happen on the debian-user and dev mailing lists
