A second thought might be that DNAT could be better. Also, ##network on Freenode (or maybe someone else here) might be more helpful than me

04:05<aletheia>i need some help, folks, pls: i just wanted to let me mount a partition without pulling my pass everytime, so i checked some man pages and finally appended the this partition in fstab. now i'm stuck and cannot change it, because every way i mounted / to change fstab is read-only.. can you spare some heeelp? =)

09:46<styopah>The latest update on Debian Jessie officially switched my netbook to systemd. Now it hibernates/sleeps about every 10 seconds even while I am using it. I am super fucking pissed off. I had no issues whatsoever before the update. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm on kernel 3.14 using openbox and tint2 instead of a DE.

Have tried creating a desktop file with Exec=pcmanfs <path> and have tried lxshortcut. One of the two ended up opening folders on a different desktop (I hadn't realized it was almost functioning as desired until later). Any pointers on how to do this right?

18:32<Luticus>Hi, I have a question regarding postfix and saslauthd. Basically I'm getting some errors in my log that say "postfix/smtps/smtpd[41015]: _sasl_plugin_load failed on sasl_auxprop_plug_init for plugin: sql" but I can't seem to figure out how to fix it. It appears to be preventing smtp authentication over port 465 which I definitely need. If anyone has any ideas it would be a huge help.

23:38<tweakism>jessie isn't in there ; and squeeze is a relic from an earlier time (box was installed as squeeze), there are likely no squeeze packages left, but IIRC at some point there were one or two and it was helpful to have the repositories configured so they'd have a source when reporting packages by origin ; the goal is occassionally `aptitude install specificsoftware/testing` and very occassionally do the same from sid, which seems reasonable.
23:40<tweakism>the 3 things I'm worried about: 1) should "Pin-Priority: -10" instead be 100, so that I get updates for force-installed packages, 2) is the "Pin: release o=Debian" going to really be a wildcard, or is it going to possbily miss some packages, maybe from nginx or puppet, which then might get a higher priority than intended, 3) I don't have a target release defined anywhere, so what is it going to default to ?
