00:34<sammcj>Hello - It appears that the '
00:35<sammcj>pacemaker' module is missing from Debian Jessie.
00:35<sammcj>(sorry for broken line), it may be held back because of one 'grave' bug - but I'm not quite sure what I'm meant to do if I need pacemaker on Jessie!
00:35<sammcj>any advice appreciated.

09:30<blast007>running a 'make dist-clean' in /var/lib/dahdi/digium-firm looks like it should flush out downloading/extracted/built files from there (which I think should leave you with just a 'Makefile' in that directory, unless some other package adds things there)

14:10<cognitios>Hi, I'm trying to set up a VPN on my digital ocean server, running debian and I got this message after typing in ssh root@IP
14:10<cognitios>@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ @ WARNING: REMOTE HOST IDENTIFICATION HAS CHANGED! @ @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ IT IS POSSIBLE THAT SOMEONE IS DOING SOMETHING NASTY! Someone could be eavesdropping on you right now (man-in-the-middle attack)! It is also possible that a host key has just been changed. The fingerprint for the ECDSA key sent by the remote host is 07:83:3e:d8:3f
14:11<retrospectacus>it means the host key of IP has changed
14:11<cognitios>How do I fix that?
14:11<SynrG>did it change?
14:11<retrospectacus>you can't fix it, you can remove the signature from ~/.ssh/known_hosts to ignore it

14:11<SynrG>did you formerly connect to that same host?

14:12<cognitios>No, this is the first time I set it up. I bought it from digital ocean
14:12<retrospectacus>but you tried to ssh to that IP in the past

14:16<retrospectacus>cognitios: ssh records remote hosts' fingerprints (by IP). This host's has changed. that's all it means

23:39<somiaj>sleser: you have some packages 'held' according to that output, and the fact that it isn't installing says there is a conflict on your system.
23:39<somiaj>sleser: since your sources look fine, there is some conflict with the packages you currently have installed
23:39<somiaj>soundconjurer: okay now /sbin/ifconfig
23:40<sleser>when i try to install lsb-core it says depends alien 8.36 but it is not going to be installed
23:40<somiaj>sleser: again you have a conflict somewhere, you need to track it down.
23:41<somiaj>sleser: find the package that is actually causing this conflict, by seeing which dependency is having issues, seems alien is the next one to check
23:42<sleser>so its a big chain now
23:42<sleser>how to chek ?
23:42<somiaj>sleser: keep trying to install packages until you find the culprit.

23:48<seeS>other devices in 10.0.0.X network can get out, just not this one?
23:48<somiaj>sleser: did you run that command I gave you and checked for held packages? You cannot install packages not because of an update, but because of a conflict on your system. You have to track down that conflict.
23:48<somiaj>sleser: sometimes that conflict is from debian's packages, but it is usually from some third party software installed by the user.
