05:39<c01d>Hello everybody. Just installed a 8.0 Jessie release from a netinst-iso. When I come to package-download the system tells me that on the mirrors there is no specified release (jessie). The network runs well, I can for example use wget from a tty to download data from any homepage. Do you have any ideas on what is going wrong?

05:58<c01d>jm_, I told the installer different debian archive mirros (some in germany, some in us). but the problem is as follows: on another tty the system says "WARNING**: mirror does not support the specified release (jessie)". but somehow I can't even ping other sites (google or so), while the dns resolves the urls properly. I have to talk to our network-ceo, I think. oO

08:25<allicoder>Current problem: I have a standard router -> (android, laptop) wifi network. Currently, the phone can connect to the wifi without problems; the laptop connects and gets an IP address, and can ping addresses on the local network, but cannot reach the internet (ping 8.8.8.8: "Destination host unreachable"). Laptop works fine if I plug in an ethernet cable to the router. Config is your usual network-manager

23:42<newbie4353463473567356>can anyone advice me what I can do, I have a problem, I'm trying to download this image:debian-live-8.0.0-amd64-lxde-desktop.iso from the official website. From a Windows 7 machine. I've tried two times but the burner said the image was invalid so I re-downloaded it when I got the same error I looked at the file and it is only a little over 300M when it's suppose to be 950M
