02:39<ondra_g>hi, I'd like to ask for advice on configuring interfaces: I have two interfaces, one with a global IP and other with local subnet address
02:39<ondra_g>both are static
02:40<ondra_g>what I'm not sure about is how to set up routes. I added the gateway stanza for the global interface, but now I'n not sure whther I should also add a gateway for the static one
02:40<ondra_g>sorry, the subnet one ... because AFAIK there can be only one default gateway
02:41-!-pamaury [~quassel@133.26.235.135] has quit [Ping timeout: 480 seconds]
02:41<ondra_g>so, is there some other stanza that can add the gateway for the subnet interface that is reserved to the subnet, or do I have to do it manually in up/down stanzas?

02:47<ondra_g>essentially I'm trying to do this http://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/35713/adding-two-default-gateways-in-debian-interfaces-file , but the answer seems like an ad-hoc hack, trying to find a proper way to do this

07:49<indiebio>Hi all, proper noob here, very very new to Debian. I'm checking out the debi-chem, and debian-med places, in anticipation of going to DebConf15! I am a bioprocess engineer, and looking to get into better process control and analysis for bioprocesses, specifically wastewater treatment (with some mods there), and fungal processes (aka solid substrate fermentation), and these blends don't really have what I'm looking for (I'm not really sure what
07:49<indiebio>I'm lookoing for yet either). My question is, is there some process engineering stuff out there I can join? And if not, how do I go about starting something?

23:14<Neorpheus>Wow so much activity here.
23:14<blast007>Neorpheus: that's because it's a support channel, not a social channel :)
23:16<Neorpheus>Blast007, I know I just expected more activity. #Debian on freenode usually has loads of idle chatter between support

23:23<blast007>!ask
23:23<dpkg>If you have a question, just ask! For example: "I have a problem with ___; I'm running Debian version ___. When I try to do ___ I get the following output ___. I expected it to do ___." Don't ask if you can ask, if anyone uses it, or pick one person to ask. We're all volunteers; make it easy for us to help you. If you don't get an answer try a few hours later or on debian-user@lists.debian.org. See <smart questions><errors>.

23:29<ixi>live install ?
23:32<Neorpheus>Sorry for poor wording. When performing an install from live media. Is there a way to add a script that is run after initial network setup
23:33<ixi>I would assume that everything that is run during debian installation process, regardless of media, is a part of debian-installer
23:33<ixi>https://wiki.debian.org/DebianInstaller
23:34<ixi>they have an irc channel #debian-boot
23:34<Neorpheus>Oh thanks. My Google foo was failing hard
