05:53<petn-randall>olivierr: What kind of RAID is this? Remember that RAID is not a filesystem. It's just a block storage with whatever you want below it.
05:53<olivierr>yea
05:53<olivierr>it is a raid 1 I think
05:53<olivierr>since I hav etwo disk sda1-3 and sdb1-3
05:53<olivierr>same things on both
05:54<twb>olivierr: do you mean an mdadm raid?
05:54<olivierr>I've done mdadm
05:54<olivierr>to create md0-2 files right?
05:54<twb>I'm asking if you're using md as opposed to e.g. LSI hardware raid, or Intel crap motherboard raid
05:55<twb>It sounds like you are, which is good
05:55<olivierr>hardware I think it is a dell server
05:55<twb>if it's hardware raid you will not have /dev/mdN you will have either a single logical disk (/dev/sda) or that horrible thing /dev/cciss0 or something
05:56<olivierr>oh okay
05:56<olivierr>hardware is seen as a single disk
05:56<twb>OK.
05:56<twb>So run "blkid" as a privileged user, and it will tell you what kind of thing you have on each disk/partition it can find
05:56<twb>Then we can work out what you're trying to mount and mount it
05:57<olivierr>I see my /dev/mapper/partitionname
05:57<twb>The devices /dev/dm-N are from devicemapper, which is used by both LVM and encrypted devices.

23:39<brandon>Hi guys. I ran an apt-get update to update my repositories, and received the following error: "E: Release file for http://security.debian.org/dists/jessie/updates/InRelease is expired (invalid since 11h 58min 41s). Updates for this repository will not be applied." I googled but only found one relevant post in a German debian forum (luckily I know German): https://debianforum.de/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=152269 Here it seemed the problem
23:39<brandon>sorted itself out with time, and his sources.list file wasn't messed up. Is anyone running into similar issues with the security repositories?
