I have OpenVPN setup and it's running fine, automatically bringing up the VPN connection and all traffic from the gateway goes out via the VPN. However, I've tried to setup the gateway per https://www.debian-administration.org/article/23/Setting_up_a_simple_Debian_gateway but my client
07:14<GeneralK>on the internal adaptor can't seem to get an IP via DHCP. Would antone be able to help me with this? Thanks.

07:18<duclicsic>make sure your iptables config permits the incoming dhcp requests on the lan side
07:19<Guest1020>but dnsmasq is for for dns lookup.. you said the issue is you cant get ip from the DHCP.. i assume you have a dhcp server in your gateway, isnt?
07:19<duclicsic>dnsmasq does dhcp too
07:20<jm_>indeed, it can work as DHCP server too

It is a productivity computer with some importante documents inside.

14:42<ivan>Hello guys, I've got this strange problem. Im running stretch(testing) amd64 and I wanted to install skype which depends on libasound2-plugins:i386, and pulseaudio depends on libasound2-plugins:amd64, which in turn depend on (not directly) on libtwolame0:i386 and libtwolame0:amd64, which dont seem to be possible to install at the same time, when I try to install one of them, apt-get wants to remove the other,
14:42<ivan> so I cant get pulseaudio ond skype at the same time. What could be the problem?

18:35<meloni>Is scp single-threaded?

23:31<twb>Do you want it to start when the system boots, or when you log in, or what
23:31<JTM1>I disabled the login so I'm automaticly logged in. What would be easier?
23:32<twb>no that's fine. Is this a GUI login? Which desktop environment?
23:33<JTM1>Ehm yeah a it was a GUI login (Gnome)
23:33<twb>There are many different ways, but I guess what's most appropriate this time, is to have your desktop environment start it
23:33<twb>I don't know gnome3 but in XFCE4.8 it's under Apps > Settings > Session, you add an entry there to say "run ~/.bin/myscript"
23:35<twb>Aha! /tmp is a tmpfs because debootstrap or live-boot has created a default fstab with a tmpfs /tmp in it.
