09:24<rled>Hey guiz! I made a blog comment about how it's going with my new live without Gnome. So far I've made a fresh install with netinstall, upgraded to Stretch, installed Openbox and some other stuff, and now am trying to get sound working. Hope you check the blog out, it logs pretty much all I've done so far. How do you get sound out of your Openbox - minimal installs?

13:52<mtn>talby, how did you make the intall disk?
13:53<talby>Maybe the LiveCD installation would have know how to configure everything, after the live sessions works fine. The vanilla DEBIAN installation failed in respect to my soundcard. Network cards and WLAN failed as well, but I could get that fixed already by installing the non-free drivers.

17:06<blast007>Sp0nken: I imagine both are related to TRIM. I seem to recall hearing that passing TRIM through to the drive could potentially expose some information about what is on the drive (or at least, how much). But disabling TRIM could lead to negative drive performance - how much, though, I'm not sure.

17:13<blast007>Sp0nken: TRIM is designed to prepare unused cells for reuse (unused based on the OS telling the SSD controller that there isn't any data there), so they'd be marked as available. If someone had your encrypted drive, you'd ideally want them to at most know that it's encrypted, but not if the drive is half full or completely empty.
