05:36<RayTracer>Thanks in advance..
05:37<ansgar>RayTracer: Priorities and dependencies of packages that should be installed.
05:38<RayTracer>Am I correct that if in my repository there is more versions of gcc-base and they're all Priorities:required it will try to install them all?
05:39<twb>RayTracer: you can't have two packages with the same name installed at the same time
05:39<twb>nm I misread.
05:40<ansgar>RayTracer: Hmm, though Priority should be ignored for packages in Section: libs...
05:40<RayTracer>they have diffrent names gcc-4.7-base gcc-4.8-base and 4.9 but it try to install them all and dpkg return error that one breaks another
05:40<twb>debootstrap is a shell script; you can just read it. The "minimal" flavour is just apt and its dependencies. The one you're using is probably build-essential + apt + their deps
05:41<Artefact2>alright. after rebooting the system it seems I am in single-user mode and systemctl is not working (no d-bus connection): https://paste.debian.net/plain/291594
05:41<RayTracer>i'll try that minimal variant
05:41<twb>RayTracer: you probably want /usr/share/debootstrap/scripts/sid:work_out_debs function

05:45<twb>RayTracer: oh, without rebuilding them?
05:46<twb>RayTracer: also: the way debootstrap installs packages is pretty horrible under-the-hood, so IME it's best to install minbase and then chroot in and use regular apt to install the things you actually want

12:47<squinty>thomasross, just added an iso to fstab here and don't experience the problem you are facing... that said, I used /media rather than /mnt as the mounting directory. in your error message you can see that there seems to be a conflict between your iso already being mounted in /mnt and the system using /dev/loop0p1 to search /media
12:47<arand>MarkedOne: Apparently using rsync with delete to an empty directory can be faster.
12:48<masonik>squinty: the problem was mine
12:48<masonik>how can I fix this issue?
12:49<squinty>masonik, oh ok sorry
12:49<masonik>any ideas?
12:49<masonik>no problem
12:49<squinty>thomasross, sorry mis-highlighted you :-(
12:49<masonik>this problem has eaten the best part of a day
12:49<squinty>masonik, change the mount point from /mnt to /media and then try again
12:50<masonik>ok.. will do
