03:34<TST_>Hi! Anybody knows where I can report bugs against the httpredir mirror? For some reason it started to think that I live in Switzerland instead of Sweden.

03:38<voltagex>TST_: try http://httpredir.debian.org/demo.html first
03:39<TST_>voltagex: Country: EU
03:39<voltagex>don't paste here - pastebin maybe?
03:39<TST_>Though other websites where I can look up my IP claim I live in Sweden (and that's correct)

03:40<voltagex>TST_: read - Corrections and issue reporting. It's using a smaller database
03:40<TST_>voltagex: http://pastebin.com/aK4bDNww
03:41<TST_>The thing is that the mirror was working great some months ago, and I don't think my IP has changed.
03:41<TST_>Don't know when it started to redirect me to Switzerland.
03:41<voltagex>IPv6?
03:41<voltagex>at any rate, it's seemingly a MaxMind problem

03:41<TST_>I both an IPv6 and IPv4 address. Both in Sweden.
03:42<voltagex>yes, but it only matters where *MaxMind* thinks the IPs are
03:43<TST_>Do you know when a correction submitted to MaxMind will be included in the mirror?
03:43<voltagex>no
03:43<voltagex>what does https://www.maxmind.com/en/locate-my-ip-address show?
03:44<voltagex>though that's using the expensive database
03:45<TST_>A much better location. It thinks I live in Sweden and hte location is the same as many other websites.
03:45<voltagex>yes, so it's a difference between the free and paid databases

04:05<TST_>voltagex: I know exactly what's wrong now with the mirror redirecting me. My IPv6 was missing from the free database, though my IPv4 had the correct information. (Checked using geoip-bin and geoip-database)
04:05<TST_>Submitted a correction and hopefully it will be included :)

I enabled the debug shell, and it looks like it's taking about 30 seconds to raise each interface, just watching ifconfig -a.... but this particular server has over 100 interfaces (all VLANs - it's a box used for various network
18:27<Blargh2015>testing). Anyone have any ideas where I can look next for what's causing the issue?

18:28<Lemmata>twb: not sure, checking
18:28<twb>Blargh2015: the systemd timeout is usually 90s, maybe it's doing each one at a time?
18:29<twb>Blargh2015: does the issue happen if you run the networking script by hand, instead of systemd doing it?
18:29<Blargh2015>twb: Well, the systemd unit has a timeout of "no limit"... which is pretty maddening right now, since I can't cancel it, stop it, or anything like that... spent the past hour or so just figuring out how to get the debug shell, etc. going.
18:29<twb>Blargh2015: one option would be to throw away sysvinit ifupdown networking and just use systemd-networkd for all this --- but it won't necessarily be any nicer.
18:30<twb>Blargh2015: yea AFAIK if you hit that, you have to boot a live CD to fix it

18:31<Blargh2015>twb: Which sucks cause this server takes like 5 minutes to reboot... much screaming at walls and some cursing of systemd has occurred in those 5 minute interludes :)
18:32<twb>Blargh2015: well anyway the first thing to know is whether this issue is purely in the sysvinit script, or in the systemd<-->sysvinit code.
18:32<twb>Do you have physical access to the box
18:33<Blargh2015>twb: So is networkd the "new way" to do it, or is that just another way to do it? I've never looked at it. Re: physical access - close enough - it's a Dell box with iDRAC, so I'm in via the OOB KVM type function.

23:53<abaddon>#twb , Nope, I did look at page breaks though. But for the life of me I can't find where page breaking would be to disable it
23:54<twb>It might be that e.g. section headings are configured with the equivalent of page-break-after: never, so they don't orphan the following paragraph
23:54<abaddon>but the weird thing is it was formatting properly. I saved the docx and reopened at it just poopooed all over the place
23:55<twb>maybe the docx exporter is just dumb
23:55<abaddon>How would I check for this?
23:55<abaddon>XD When it was ok like...the other 3 saves i did with it?
23:57<twb>I just use rst and LaTeX, man :-)
23:57<catern>sigh
23:57<catern>what is the most popular monospaced/terminal font?
23:58<catern>given that what i thought was extremely popular, ubuntu mono, is not packaged in debian...
23:58<abaddon>Huh....latex may be an option....
23:58<abaddon>didn't think of that
23:59<zykotick9>catern: terminus is one option
