00:13<fix|sputnik>how the heck do I get lts sources working in squeeze? I know theres some simple trick to get lts working, anyone know?
00:14<jmcnaught>!squeeze sources.list
00:14<dpkg>A suitable /etc/apt/sources.list for Debian 6.0 "Squeeze" has two lines: "deb http://archive.debian.org/debian/ squeeze main" "deb http://archive.debian.org/debian/ squeeze-lts main". Put "Acquire::Check-Valid-Until false;" in /etc/apt/apt.conf and run «aptitude update». Also see <deb-src> <contrib> <non-free> <squeeze-lts> <squeeze-updates> and "man sources.list".
00:14<fix|sputnik>I got it
00:14<fix|sputnik>thanks
00:15<somiaj>squeeze-lts is also no longer supported, you'll have to use archive.debian.org for that too
00:15<somiaj>fix|sputnik: you should consider upgrading to wheezy (then wheezy-lts)
00:15<fix|sputnik>No sir
00:15<somiaj>(well it is currently wheezy-lts but there are no special sources.list needed for wheezy lts)
00:15<fix|sputnik>this is a test platform that requires particular versions of software
00:15<fix|sputnik>It must be debian squeeze its cmd only and an offline system
00:16<somiaj>that's fine, just standard suggestion informing you that it is not reciving any more support.
00:17<fix|sputnik>thank you, Im installing software again
00:17<fix|sputnik>thank you for your kind assistance

02:44<Avt_>thats a great idea
02:44<Avt_>but for a gamer theres a ton of stuff installed and it uses the debian low latency kernel

04:59<grummund>ok great i will try that (needs a reboot of course)
05:00<jcpiedra>course
05:00<lindi-_>grummund: no it does not need a reboot
05:00<lindi-_>grummund: you can test the initramfs with virtualization for example

08:03<grawity>the auto-remount might be a a bug in the Linux USB3 (xhci) driver

15:06<teward>hwgasdfasdf: well, I used a very evil method; writing what I want it to use to the /etc/resolv.conf file and then immediately setting the immutable attribute
