02:02<MarkedOne>ach: I would like to have WPA2. But The bigest problem is that another host can't connect to my network.
02:02<ach>the console command for linux and wifi is iwconfig but with iwconfig i can not help you cause it will not work the normal way on my computers, too.
02:03<ach>like i do up connect on eesid to a network with wpa2 it will not recognize it need a pw.
02:03<ach>?
02:03<ach>like also my computer chances letters afterwards to typed in wrong.
02:04<ach>i would admit set it up with iwconfig
02:04<MarkedOne>nn... It is windows 10 and it simply answers me "Can't connect to network"
02:04<MarkedOne>So I don't know what is the problem... It is not asking for pass even it is WEP

08:30<CQ>hello, I've got a weird problem and am not sure how to narrow it down. In debian, if I watch a youtube html5 video, often when I pause it and want to resume it, it won't resume. The problem is pulseaudio... no other videos will play, a FF restart doesn't help. Only pulseaudio --kill helps, then the videos play again, Otherwise it stays at the circling-dots

My first question: I already installed them under root, what should I do now to make it secure without root privilage and without encounter problems (owner/group) (read/write) permissions ?

10:57<jhutchins>Dante: If you stick to the Debian pacakge mangement tools, which require root privileges to run, you will have sensible defaults and a reasonably secure system.
10:58<jhutchins>Dante: Generally, tools that change the system require root privileges. Tools that only affect a single user's environment do not require root.

14:09<MTecknology>So, perl is scary and confusing to me and I'm struggling to find the right documentation. I know I can have an apt line like this ''Acquire::https::proxy::apt-mirror "DIRECT";'' to redirect if the address is exactly "apt-mirror", I'd like to do the same for *.domain.tld and 10.0.0.0/8 .. I'm guessing it's not as simple as dropping exactly those into another line.

22:40<zrts>hastenreiter: "betraying your OS"?
22:40<zrts>how so?
22:42<hastenreiter>The guys just ignored me, so i though: I am here in a debian irc asking how to create a windows iso. Maybe people here will not enjoy answering it too much.
22:44<somiaj>hastenreiter: windows iso from debian os?

22:45<hastenreiter>somiaj: Yeah. I've managed to make windows 10 bootable usb. But here i have limited resources
22:45<hastenreiter>https://thornelabs.net/2013/06/10/create-a-bootable-windows-7-usb-drive-in-linux.html
22:45<hastenreiter>Thats a great tutorial i really learned a lot with it

22:56<somiaj>hastenreiter: not sure what to do there if you just don't have a big enough drive. You said you don't have a dvd you could burn it onto?
22:57<hastenreiter>I do
22:57<hastenreiter>But i need to remove the ei.cfg
22:58<hastenreiter>so i need to mount it, copy it, take the ei.cfg off and then build a iso out of it
22:58<hastenreiter>unless i could remove it directly from iso
23:00-!-bastiand1 [~bastian@port-11930.pppoe.wtnet.de] has joined #debian
23:00<hastenreiter>!!! Maybe that's the answer
23:01<somiaj>I don't think iso file systems allow you to do that, you'll ahve to regenerate it, but that means any boot info as well.
23:01<hastenreiter>Just googled and found isomaster
23:02<somiaj>oh nice, I wasn't expecting you could edit them directly
23:03<hastenreiter>making a backup of the downloaded iso and i will give it a try
