13:42<luizromario>Which is why I'm trying to downgrade things
13:42<blast007>luizromario: which is probably because you removed the backports apt source
13:43<luizromario>Because I needed to. The backports caused video issues for me
13:43<ompaul>luizromario: why do you want 32bit apps that may help formulate a good answer for you.
13:43<blast007>packages from backports don't automatically install, so I'm not sure what you mean

13:44<luizromario>blast007: I enabled the backports because I wanted newer package versions; then, I found out the backports caused driver issues; then, I removed the backports repos and reinstalled the old drivers from the main repo
13:45<ompaul>why is the 32bit application even mentioned then?
13:45<luizromario>Because it was what triggered the problems I'm having in the first place
13:45<ompaul>luizromario: I don't want to make your situation worse, but I would like to understand the problem deeper.
13:45<ompaul>what is the specific problem that requires you to think about 32 bit
13:46<ompaul>then we will wonder why you felt that bpo was the solution and from there propose your personal plan to advance
13:47<luizromario>Okay, the whole story is that I was trying to run PCSX2, which is a 32-bit application. Then, I proceeded to install the required libraries to run PCSX2, which gave me a lot of conflicts. Then I found out that those conflicts happened because, as I mentioned, I had bpo packages installed which were not rolled back and I didn't have the backports enabled anymore.
13:48<luizromario>Then, I started manually downgrading all faulty packages, until I got to this situation with systemd
13:48<luizromario>[13:37] <luizromario> Hey, I'm trying to downgrade systemd, but I hit a roadblock: old systemd depends on old udev, but new systemd breaks old udev.
13:48<luizromario>And here we are now
13:48<luizromario>It's a long story, I've been on this for hours now

14:06<dpkg>Newer kernels for Debian stable releases are available from the "jessie-backports" repository. Ask me about <jessie backports> to modify your sources.list, then run «aptitude update».
