01:45<user01>so i should be using "apt" now instead of "apt-get" "aptitude" "apt-cache" (where there is overlap?)
01:46<rudi_s>user01: It's your choice. apt is the current recommended default, but apt-get and aptitude work as well.
01:47<rudi_s>apt-cache has different use cases and doesn't allow installation, but querying of package data.

03:47<user01>rudi_s, ok thanks
03:53<rudi_s>Dkeagle: Maybe disable the folder "synchronization" (= symlinks) in winecfg.

03:54<Dkeagle>holla, well, it's a wine-debian question xD
03:54<Dkeagle>rudi_s, i'll do that and test, thanks
03:55<rudi_s>np
03:56<Dkeagle>rudi_s, well, there's no dir synchronized to my home xD
03:56<Dkeagle>My Documents go to home/documents, same for images, musics etc, but nothing goes to my home/ directly
03:57<rudi_s>Dkeagle: AFAIK there were some. I've use wine in the past and if you disable all "synchronization" it won't touch your home directory.
03:58<rudi_s>So either something else is creating the log file or you've missed something (or my knowledge is outdated).
03:58<Dkeagle>rudi_s, i disabled every link, removed the file, launched the game and it's back xD
03:59<Dkeagle>it's "BnetLog.txt", with the connecting to the battlenet server when i start Diablo 2

04:00<holla>what happens when you invoke wine from ~/.wine/drive_c/Programms/Diabolo .. whatever?
04:04<Dkeagle>it's what i do when i start the game, "wine ~/.wine/path/to/the/game.exe"
04:05<Dkeagle>and the game starts perfectly, but it create a logfile from the connection to the server, in my homeDir, everytime i remove it and everytime i start the game it comes back
04:06<rudi_s>Dkeagle: As ho<tab> said, try running cd first and starting it with wine ./game.exe
04:06<holla>it creates that file in your pwd
04:07<towo^work>Dkeagle, thatg all has nothing to do with linux, debian or wine
04:07<rudi_s>(Btw. diablo 2 was really good game, maybe i should play it again.)
04:07<towo^work>BnetLog.txt is the log from battlenet

04:10-!-mode/#debian [+l 335] by debhelper
04:10<Dkeagle>holla, Oh ok, so if i change pwd (with a cd before starting the game) the log will go somewhere else, ok ok, thx
04:12<Dkeagle>yep, that worked, i'll do the cd and start the game in a script, and put the script in my Desktop Entry
