08:57<dihedral>TrueBrain: i have a little suggestion for you - regarding the server list
08:58<dihedral>instead of just have the details page available at ?id=
08:58<dihedral>also make it available at ?ip=&port=
08:58<dihedral>so that it's possible to link to ones details page from other sites without having to look if the id might have changed for whatever reason
08:59<dihedral>in addition - you could group the listed servers by ip, and only show a top10 or something similar always comparing the best out of each ip group
09:00<dihedral>making the goups expandable to show the others in the same group
09:02<XeryusTC>dihedral: the website's source is freely available via svn
09:05<dihedral>but iirc maintained by truelight -right?
09:05<dihedral>so - i am just passing on an idea - in the hope to get back his thoughts on them
09:06<blathijs>It's hosted by TrueBrain, but I'm not sure if there is any specific maintainer
09:06<blathijs>AFAIK Darkvater wrote most of it
09:07<dihedral>http://wiki.openttd.org/index.php/TrueLight

09:16<Ammller>so you can switch to an other company to set the pw

09:19<dihedral>you have to login
09:19<dihedral>but it would be nice to be able to set company passwords for other companys from the admin console (ie with rcon)

13:44<@orudge>Sacro: stop confusing people
13:44<Sacro>orudge: he started it by confusing me
13:44<hylje>arrrrr
13:44<@orudge>while it may not be "right", referring to 16MB as "64Mb" just confuses people
13:44<@orudge>as NOBODY except you uses "millibits"
13:44<@orudge>:P
13:44<@orudge>64Mb, yes, that's megabits
13:44<@orudge>but still, when talking about RAM
13:44<Sacro>what, i did have 64Mb RAM
13:44<@orudge>it is interpreted as Megabytes
13:44<@orudge>being difficult just confuses everyone :p
13:44<Sacro>orudge: no, it interprets as a millibit
13:45<@orudge>eh?
13:45<Sacro>how am I supposed to know when he didn't press shift
13:45<@orudge>nobody else interpreted it as millibit :p
13:45<@orudge>and I daresay that almost nobody else in the history of computing has measured things in millibits :p
13:45|-|helb [~helb@84.244.90.159] has joined #openttd
13:45<@orudge>megabits, sure
13:45<@orudge>but not millibits
13:46<@orudge>generally, people interpret things as the most appropriate unit for that thing
13:46<Noldo>great there is still some tiletype with non-functional ClearTile
13:46<@orudge>eg, "16m", "16MB", "16mb" = 16 megabytes (of RAM)
13:46<Sacro>fine, but then it'd be nice if he could distinguish between bits and bytes, if someone can't even do milli/Mega right, how am i to konw
13:46<Sacro>*know
13:46<@orudge>"2m", "2Mbps", "2 meg" = 2megabits per second
13:46<@orudge>etc
13:46<@orudge>Sacro: yes
13:46<@orudge>but people don't measure RAM in bits
13:46<@orudge>so in this case, it's obvious
13:46<@orudge>if they were talking about an Internet connection, then perhaps it's not obvious
13:47<@orudge>while yes, it'd be nice if everyone could use proper units all the time
13:47<@orudge>it just doesn't happen :p
13:47<@orudge>so you have to interpret things accordingly
13:47<Sacro>orudge: actually, handheld devices have been known to use bits
13:47<@orudge>TTD wasn't released for a handheld device :p
13:47<Sacro>no, but he mentioned arm7 and arm9
13:47<Sacro>and they are handheld processors
13:48<@orudge>well, in this case, I believe it was quite obvious that he wasn't meaning "bits"
13:49<@orudge>I'm not an expert on handheld devices, but generally, they tend to use bytes
13:50<Niki->hmm
13:50<Niki->nintendo in bits

15:55<aneb>um, with 7 tiles assigned to a station, how much cargo is required to fit the 7 tiles. minus the train engine/
15:55<aneb>?*
15:57<Rubidium>depends on the cargo
15:58<aneb>coal
15:58<Rubidium>any newgrfs?

16:21<hylje>theres some research involved to do it elegantly so i'm delaying it
16:22<hylje>i'll also add a download link while i'm at it
