02:28<Jesus_On_Wheels>ello again
02:29<Jesus_On_Wheels>whats the deal with openTTD, i build a station next to a forest and normally it would fill up with goods but with openttd nothing ever goes into it. have they changed the way it works?
02:30<Poopsmith>station doesnt start stockpiling until an appropriate vehicle has been to the station
02:30<Poopsmith>so until a wood truck or a train able to carry wood goes to that station, no wood will be waiting at the station
02:31<Jesus_On_Wheels>hmm i tried that but nothing seemed to happen
02:31<LordAzamath>You can change it in patch settings IIRC, but it's not really useful imo
02:31<Jesus_On_Wheels>guess i didnt wait long enough
02:31<Jesus_On_Wheels>thanks
02:31<Jesus_On_Wheels>whyd they change it
02:32<LordAzamath>Because on else way you'd have something like ratin ~20% by the time your train arrives

04:00<Jesus_On_Wheels>what does the transfer order to do trains?
04:02<Poopsmith>Jesus_On_Wheels: http://wiki.openttd.org/index.php/Feeder_service
04:03<Jesus_On_Wheels>ty
04:05<Jesus_On_Wheels>if i set a train to full load when that location cant actually give a good which the train can carry will it sit there forever, or only wait for full load of what it can get
04:08<Poopsmith>i imagine it'll sit there forever
04:09<Poopsmith>havent tried it tho
04:10<LordAzamath>Jesus_On_Wheels, it'l wait thereforever :)
04:10<LordAzamath>unless you transfer cargo there
04:12-!-Vikthor [~Vikthor@snat1.spoje.net] has joined #openttd
04:12<Jesus_On_Wheels>hmm i just experiemented
04:13<Poopsmith>experimenterer
04:13<Jesus_On_Wheels>i had a train that gets 4 different goods and it waits for one good to be fully loaded but not the others and then leaves, which is alright i guess, would be good if you could set which good you want to get a load of
04:14<Poopsmith>it'll get whatever goods it can from that station
04:14<LordAzamath>there is a patch setting LEave if any cargo full or something like that..
04:15<LordAzamath>So you can set it to wait all cargos full too
04:15<LordAzamath>and there is a patchso you can set which cargo to gull loaad
04:16*Poopsmith is boredish
04:16<LordAzamath>* Poopsmith is boring
04:16<Poopsmith>yep, pretty much
04:17<Poopsmith>my weekend has basically consisted of openttd
04:17<LordAzamath>:(
04:18<Poopsmith>and i was hoping to try out playing coop, but my connection to the openttdcoop server is painfully slow, so i gave up on that idea
04:19<LordAzamath>Poopsmith, atm nobody can play there
04:19<LordAzamath>too nmuch server load
04:19<Poopsmith>ahh, so its not just me
04:19<Poopsmith>thats good
04:19<Poopsmith>bad that noone can play there, but good that its not just my international connectivity sucking
04:23<Poopsmith>cos i'm running an openttd server, but i cant play on my own server because my ping to it is so bad :P
04:25<Jesus_On_Wheels>har har
04:25<Jesus_On_Wheels>why is there lag, the game doesnt have to be that in sync with the server does it
04:26<Poopsmith>still needs to be fairly in sync

10:29<SmatZ>do not change GRFs during gameplay, there is a big red warning about it :)
10:30<+glx>theorically it should be safe as the new building is reverted to old type

10:31<SmatZ>that are replaced by 2x2 buildings
10:31<SmatZ>theoretically :)

14:25<Gonozal_VIII>yes, that bug is known
14:26<Cosmo>only on the 6.0beta-4 tho
14:27<Cosmo>well if you want me I can be found on irc.linuxfromscratch.org
14:28<Cosmo>okay I made a game, zoomed in a far as I could and then abandoned it
14:29<Cosmo>I still get that screen shot I sent you
14:29<Sacro>heh, LFS
14:29<Sacro>now there's a fun day
14:29<Yorick>it seems like your opentitle.dat got zoomed out
14:29<Cosmo>day? I wish
14:29<Sacro>i did LFS in a day on an errr...
14:29<Sacro>athlon 1800 i think
14:29<Cosmo>gcc takes 7 hours on one of my computers
14:29<Sacro>then i stripped the libraries ><
14:29<Cosmo>if I helps I use the nick Cosmo for everything
14:29<Sacro>had to start again
14:30<Cosmo>Yorick, I've quit the whole program and reopened it and it's gone back to normal
14:31<Gonozal_VIII>remove the opntitle.dat from your data dir and replace it with one from any game download
14:31<Gonozal_VIII>hmm
14:31<Gonozal_VIII>strange
14:31<Cosmo>I've not touched it
14:31<Gonozal_VIII>so it does seem to save the zoomlevel
14:32<SmatZ>rather the zoom-out input was not dropped as it should in the GM_MENU mode
14:32<SmatZ>or a random memory corruption happened :-P
14:33<SmatZ>or the zoom level was not reset
14:34<Cosmo>how are the new AI coming alone?
14:34<Cosmo>they don't seem to go bankrupt as fast and the ordinal AI :/
14:34<Cosmo>*original
14:35<SmatZ>:)
14:35<SmatZ>it is under development
14:35<SmatZ>or, whet do you mean by "new AI"? do you mean that "New AI" that is able to build only road vehicles?
14:36<SmatZ>I think it won't be developed any more...
14:36<SmatZ>but the "NoAI" branch is
14:41<Patrick`>iirc wasn't that the branch that allowed scripted AI
14:42<Patrick`>I guess it's getting more stuff
14:42<SmatZ>well, yes
14:42<Patrick`>does it still fill every town with buses and promptly explode them to cover the entire map?
14:43<SmatZ>I don't know, I think the only official AI is that one that makes airports...
14:46<Cosmo>the orginal AI keep going out of business cos they built tracks with 90' turns in

21:50<CIA-1>OpenTTD: truebrain * r12326 /3rdparty/squirrel/squirrel/ (sqcompiler.cpp sqfuncstate.cpp sqopcodes.h sqvm.cpp): (log message trimmed)
21:50<CIA-1>OpenTTD: [Squirrel] -Fix: Squirrel doesn't free local variables directly when going out of scope (not a bug, just a design-option).
21:50<CIA-1>OpenTTD: This means destructors (dtors) aren't always called, and for sure not at any logic point.
21:50<CIA-1>OpenTTD: As NoAI framework kind of assumes a certain order of ctor/dtor, this gave a lot of side-effects.
21:50<CIA-1>OpenTTD: Therefor we added _OP_SCOPE_END, which indicates the end of scope to the VM, and releases all local variables when you expect them to, calling the dtors when you expect them to.
21:50<CIA-1>OpenTTD: (a lot of tnx to glx for suggestions, ideas, fixing, his time, ...;
21:50<CIA-1>OpenTTD: tnx to Morloth in his effort to understand the problem,
