03:47<man9o0:#openttd>wow so many ttd fans ^^
03:47<TrueBrain:#openttd>you expected anything else?
03:47<man9o0:#openttd>hehe
03:47<man9o0:#openttd>naturally ^^
03:47<man9o0:#openttd>hi true i was just reading one of your postst
03:48<TrueBrain:#openttd>just one? :p
03:48<man9o0:#openttd>lol
03:48<Forked:#openttd>one at the time, sir.
03:48<TrueBrain:#openttd>I always read with multiple threads
03:49<man9o0:#openttd>i just tried simutrans..sigh kind of a letdown
03:50<man9o0:#openttd>anyone know if transport giant or locomotion have any mods or cheats?
03:51<@Bjarni:#openttd>you can control your trains in locomotions
03:51<@Bjarni:#openttd>but I can't remember how
03:51<el_en:#openttd>isn't transport giant the one that sucks big time.
03:52<man9o0:#openttd>well both that and loco suck in my opinion
03:52<man9o0:#openttd>once you play ottd there just is no other game
03:52<el_en:#openttd>locomotion has a bad user interface in some respects, but it also has some nice ideas.
03:52<Cybertinus:#openttd>Sid Meiers RailRoads III is also very nice imo
03:52<TrueBrain:#openttd>if they suck, why do you want mods and cheats for them? :p
03:53<man9o0:#openttd>yes but chris sawyer spent 9 or 10 yrs writing locomotion and look how bad it turned out, its too much like the rollercoaster interface
03:53<TrueBrain:#openttd>I doubt he spend 10 years on it :p
03:53<man9o0:#openttd>well..the openttd mod for ttd made it 1000 times better so i figure if someone mods locomotion it may be 50 percent better
03:54<Xaroth:#openttd>it's not a mod
03:54<Xaroth:#openttd>it's a rewrite :P
03:54<TrueBrain:#openttd>Xaroth: it is not a rewrite
03:54<TrueBrain:#openttd>it is an improvement!
03:54<Xaroth:#openttd>it's both! :P
03:54<TrueBrain:#openttd>a rewrite suggests it started from scratch or something
03:54<man9o0:#openttd>the general interface kept much of the original feel if not all of it
03:54<Xaroth:#openttd>not really
03:54<Cybertinus:#openttd>it a highly adapted version :)
03:54<TrueBrain:#openttd>Cybertinus: that is a nice description yes :)
03:55<man9o0:#openttd>hey is it allowed to upload a png to the forums which has a tiny bit of adult content in it??

03:55<el_en:#openttd>man9o0: TTDPatch is still more advanced than OpenTTD.
03:55<TheJosh:#openttd>sorry
03:55<man9o0:#openttd>i made a heightmap with a nude pic of kim possible lolol
03:56<@Bjarni:#openttd><man9o0> hey is it allowed to upload a png to the forums which has a tiny bit of adult content in it?? <-- what do you think?
03:56<TrueBrain:#openttd>el_en: by whos meassure?!
03:56<el_en:#openttd>TrueBrain: mine!
03:56<TrueBrain:#openttd>clearly biased :)
03:56<man9o0:#openttd>welll.....i mean one could put **this file has adult content** in front of the link lol
03:56<@Bjarni:#openttd>el_en: which means it's not a valid source :P
03:57<man9o0:#openttd>all it is, is you see trees in the shape of cartoon breasts lol
03:57<@Bjarni:#openttd>man9o0: that can be translated as "To all schoolkids: click here"
03:57-!-reldred [~richard@wirele5.lnk.telstra.net] has quit [Read error: Operation timed out]
03:57<man9o0:#openttd>yes true..but arent most of the ppl in the forum over 18??
03:57<@Bjarni:#openttd>how should we know?
03:57<man9o0:#openttd>true
03:58<man9o0:#openttd>but kids can get porn off google just by clicking do not filter content
03:58<@Bjarni:#openttd>besides say it's 90%, then 10% would be too young
03:58<man9o0:#openttd>yes ok
03:58<TheJosh:#openttd>el_en: TTDPatch may be more advanced, but OpenTTD has more future, and the opportunity to completely escape the old games
03:58<man9o0:#openttd>hey how is ttdpatch more advanced than openttd??
03:59<@Bjarni:#openttd>besides if you upload that thing you make it harder for me to avoid Kim Possible >.<
03:59<Cybertinus:#openttd>man9o0: I think rule 34 is working here? :p
03:59<TheJosh:#openttd>im just quoting what el_en saied earlier
03:59<man9o0:#openttd>sorry what is rule 34?
03:59<TheJosh:#openttd>if it exists, theres porn of it
03:59<Cybertinus:#openttd>man9o0: "if you can think about it, there is porn of it"
03:59<dihedral:#openttd>why on earth do you want to run trains over someones green body?
04:00<man9o0:#openttd>what i liked about ttdpatch is you could adjust the cargo limits for wagons and vehicles
04:00<@Bjarni:#openttd>LOL
04:00<@Bjarni:#openttd>dihedral: good point
04:00<man9o0:#openttd>i guess i am just sick that way dihedral hehe
04:00<el_en:#openttd>TheJosh: because maintaining backward-compatibility is a top priority in OpenTTD, its future is inevitably limited by what the map and other structures allow.
04:00<dihedral:#openttd>man9o0: then create a sick community - but dont misuse the forums for that ^^
04:01<TheJosh:#openttd>personally i think porn is utterly inappropriate, no matter what the form
04:01<man9o0:#openttd>oh i would never misuse the forums i would die of depression if i couldnt discuss ottd!!
04:01<dihedral:#openttd>TheJosh: i second that
04:01<el_en:#openttd>TheJosh: but all nudity is not porn.
04:01<@Bjarni:#openttd>man9o0: is Kim Possible worth dying for?
04:01<dihedral:#openttd>el_en: second that too ^^
04:02<TheJosh:#openttd>el_en: but the priorities of OpenTTD can still change if they want to open up the game more. TTDPatch can never get away from TTD simply for technical reasons.
04:02<man9o0:#openttd>hehe have you seen kim possible lol
04:02<dihedral:#openttd>anyway - how much porn can it be if it's a landscape?
04:02<TheJosh:#openttd>and i agree, not all nudity is porn
04:02<man9o0:#openttd>yes exactly
04:02<dihedral:#openttd>oh - look that mountain sucks ass!
04:02<man9o0:#openttd>lolol
04:02<TrueBrain:#openttd>"<el_en> TheJosh: because maintaining backward-compatibility is a top priority in OpenTTD" <- I like you :)
04:02<TheJosh:#openttd>but looking at women for your own pleaseure is degrading to them , and degrading to yourself
04:03<dihedral:#openttd>depends on the woman :-P
04:03<dihedral:#openttd>some women like it - sadly
04:03<man9o0:#openttd>actually i tried a nightly build that would not load any of my older scenario files or save games
04:03<TheJosh:#openttd>its still degrading - they just dont realise it
04:03<man9o0:#openttd>but i had a patch files mixed in with a different build
04:03<@Bjarni:#openttd>man9o0: and you didn't report it?
04:04<dihedral:#openttd>man9o0: newer versions of OpenTTD are porn-safe
04:04<man9o0:#openttd>well..the folder was so mixed and matched that it wasnt worth reporting the error i mixed trunk files with safe build files
04:05<man9o0:#openttd>i was trying to get the super large map patch to work with build .15xxx
04:05<el_en:#openttd>TheJosh: do you think women (and men too) have the right to decide what to do with their body?
04:05<@Bjarni:#openttd>some of the first builds for OSX had endian issues and it made a save format of it's own. It was quickly corrected, but without support for the buggy format. That's the only time I can think of where backward compatible broke
04:05<man9o0:#openttd>there is a mac version of ottd??
04:05<@Bjarni:#openttd>...
04:06<el_en:#openttd>man9o0: of course there is. and an OS/2 version too.
04:06<@Bjarni:#openttd>I ported it in 2004
04:06<man9o0:#openttd>i thought that the original had a mac feel to it
04:06<Forked:#openttd>I think one of the few things ottd probably does not run on are the little cars driving around on the planet Mars.. but I'm not 100% sure it wont
04:06<man9o0:#openttd>wow ppl still use os/2? hehe
04:06<TrueBrain:#openttd>Forked: just a lack of output :p
04:06<TheJosh:#openttd>MorphOS...
04:06<@Bjarni:#openttd>SkyOS...
04:07<dihedral:#openttd>EyeOS
04:07<Forked:#openttd>Skynet..
04:07<TrueBrain:#openttd>TERMINATOR!!!
04:07<Cybertinus:#openttd>NT 3.51
04:07<man9o0:#openttd>i thought it was funny that someone had a pda version of ottd
04:07<TheJosh:#openttd>PSP and iPhone
04:07<Cybertinus:#openttd>man9o0: I'm running oTTD on my Windows Mobile 6.0 phone ;)
04:07<@Bjarni:#openttd>actually somebody ported OpenTTD to SkyOS. He butchered support for other OSes so we couldn't accept his changes
04:08<man9o0:#openttd>you must have posted on the thread i was reading then cyber
04:08<man9o0:#openttd>is skyOS linux?
04:09<man9o0:#openttd>or a mobile os
04:09<TheJosh:#openttd>i wouldnt think so if you have to butcher a port to get it to run
04:09<TheJosh:#openttd>ottd runs on linux native (im runnit it at the moment)
04:10<man9o0:#openttd>does it run any faster on linux?
04:10<TheJosh:#openttd>faster than what?
04:10<man9o0:#openttd>than on windows
04:11<TheJosh:#openttd>not sure
04:11<Forked:#openttd>on linux all trains have 5 mph higher speed
04:11<man9o0:#openttd>haha
04:11<TheJosh:#openttd>everything runs fast on my computer so I cant sell you
04:11<Forked:#openttd>(?)
04:12<TheJosh:#openttd>and yes I already know that ottd doesn't use my quad core properly
04:12<TheJosh:#openttd>but it only use one core at about 45 %
04:12<man9o0:#openttd>by the way i should mention that the webbased irc client wont work on IE7
04:13<man9o0:#openttd>but thats why i also have firefox
04:13<Forked:#openttd>I blame IE7
04:13<TheJosh:#openttd>ie is rubbish
04:13<TheJosh:#openttd>ie = evil
04:13<man9o0:#openttd>hey how do google bots and msn bots get into the forum? from spyware?
04:14<TheJosh:#openttd>the bot recognises their user agent and gives them a read-only account
04:14<man9o0:#openttd>or is that how google searches forums
04:14<TheJosh:#openttd>i have read some of the source of that forum
04:15<man9o0:#openttd>the world is overrun with bots
04:15<@petern:#openttd>lol
04:15<TheJosh:#openttd>i agree
04:15<@petern:#openttd>09:02 < TheJosh> but looking at women for your own pleaseure is degrading to them , and degrading to yourself
04:15<@petern:#openttd>it's called "nature"
04:15<@petern:#openttd>or, as dihedral might say, it's by design
04:16<TheJosh:#openttd>petern: its turning sex from a romatinc and emotanally-completing thing into a one-way event that stops a woman being a woman and turns her into an object.
04:16<man9o0:#openttd>wow 99 users
04:16<@petern:#openttd>it's natural urges, the thing 'designed' to make humans procreate
04:18<TheJosh:#openttd>but porn is still unnatural
04:18<TheJosh:#openttd>its satisfaction of youself without any satisfaction for the other person, who in this case doesn't even know you
04:18<el_en:#openttd>TheJosh: well, the woman on your screen is an object. wouldn't it be even stranger if you started planning a romantic relationship with that woman, and contacted her?
04:18<TheJosh:#openttd>all she know is that she feels used
04:19<TheJosh:#openttd>wouldn't it be more natural to have real sex with someone real who your in a romatinc relationship with?
04:19<@petern:#openttd>all she knows is that she probably got paid a bit of money to have her photos taken...
04:19<TheJosh:#openttd>so she feels like crap
04:19<el_en:#openttd>TheJosh: how do you know how she feels?
04:19<TheJosh:#openttd>how do you think she feels?
04:20<@petern:#openttd>why do you think she feels that way?
04:20<TheJosh:#openttd>how would you feel if you were nothing more to someone but something to make them feel good while at the smae time feeling humilated that the only way to make money is to sell you self?
04:20<@petern:#openttd>are you of the opinion that all women in porn are forced into it?
04:21<el_en:#openttd>well, in the "behind the scenes" material i've... *cough* ... studied, they seem to be laughing and enjoying themselves.
04:21<TheJosh:#openttd>so you saying people would _choose_ to sell themself?
04:21<TheJosh:#openttd>but whats going on in their heads? what has happened to their humanity?
04:21<el_en:#openttd>TheJosh: what do you base your claim "the only way to make money" on?
04:22<TheJosh:#openttd>ok im going to ask you a simple questin
04:22<dihedral:#openttd>even if one woman choses to sell herself in that way, to men it often enough displays _all_ women would like / enjoy that
04:22<dihedral:#openttd>men quickly believe that the one woman is there for _them_
04:23<TheJosh:#openttd>what would you say of someone came up to you in the street and asked for a massage?
04:23<man9o0:#openttd>why would any man assume that all women think/act/behave the same way?
04:23<dihedral:#openttd>personally i get annoyed when i have to walk through town and all i get to see are half dressed women on huge posters
04:23<TheJosh:#openttd>They just walked up to you and wanted a massage. THey dont know you, you dont know them
04:23<el_en:#openttd>as far as i understand, people sell themselves because *it is a way to earn quite much money in short time*, and leaves a lot of free time to spend on something else.
04:23<dihedral:#openttd>c'mon - who wants to get close to a breast the size of my head?
04:24<@petern:#openttd>:D
04:24<el_en:#openttd>TheJosh: i don't understand how this massage thing is related to anything, but ...
04:24<man9o0:#openttd>it sounds like el_en has sold herself before ^^
04:24<TheJosh:#openttd>how would you feel?
04:25<el_en:#openttd>surprised.
04:25<man9o0:#openttd>massage or massage parlor??
04:25<@petern:#openttd>if someone asked me, i'd say no, and generally feel amused
04:25<TheJosh:#openttd>just a regular massage. This question is completly non-sexual
04:26<TheJosh:#openttd>So would you give the person the massage?
04:26<@petern:#openttd>surprised, amused, but certainly not humiliated or used
04:26<dihedral:#openttd>'massage' is not something i'd give to anybody ^^
04:26<el_en:#openttd>depending on person, maybe.
04:26<TheJosh:#openttd>lets say for a sec that you do give them the massage
04:26<dihedral:#openttd>message - ok :-P
04:26<@petern:#openttd>okay
04:26<TheJosh:#openttd>then when your done, they run away straight away
04:27<TheJosh:#openttd>gone, like a flash in the wind. no "thanks", no cash, nothing
04:27<@petern:#openttd>what if walker or cyclist had bad cramp and needed a leg muscle massaged?
04:27<dihedral:#openttd>that aint gonna work ^^
04:27<TheJosh:#openttd>how would you feel?
04:27<el_en:#openttd>TheJosh: i'd still feel surprised.
04:27<TheJosh:#openttd>that you had massaged a stanger and they didn't even thank you?
04:27<@petern:#openttd>el_en, wrong, you're supposed to feel humiliated and used!
04:27<man9o0:#openttd>i didnt see the beginning of the massage question, are you asking if a woman is selling a massage service to a man?
04:27<TheJosh:#openttd>petern: stick with me
04:27<TheJosh:#openttd>i have a point
04:28<dihedral:#openttd>problem is that a lot of pron / advertisements that head that direction just display a wrong picture
04:28<@petern:#openttd>so do i, hurr hurr
04:28<dihedral:#openttd>women in generall are not wild after being seen as an 'object'
04:28<@petern:#openttd>that's rubbish
04:28<@petern:#openttd>people viewing porn know full well that it isn't real life
04:28<TheJosh:#openttd>what if someone else wanted a massage, but again didn't say think you?
04:28<@petern:#openttd>otherwise they wouldn't be viewing porn...
04:28<dihedral:#openttd>they dont always petern
04:28<TheJosh:#openttd>what if it was happenign all the time
04:28<@petern:#openttd>sure
04:29<@petern:#openttd>there's the occasional nuthead in every thing
04:29<TheJosh:#openttd>lets change it. someone comes up to you and takes your car from you
04:29<@petern:#openttd>like gun nuts for eaxmple
04:29<el_en:#openttd>breathing is immoral.
04:29<TheJosh:#openttd>they dont say pelase, they dont say think you they just take it
04:29<man9o0:#openttd>women like attention i think they just dont want to feel embarrased or humiliated
04:29<dihedral:#openttd>i know enough women who are even discusted at the fact that when they walk past guys, they'll stare at their butts
04:29<TheJosh:#openttd>not lets multiply that ay 1000. they have taken 1000 of your cars.
04:29<TheJosh:#openttd>how would you feel?
04:29<el_en:#openttd>TheJosh: do you acknowledge there might be women (and men) who actually enjoy being naked and watched?
04:30<dihedral:#openttd>yep - there probably is that
04:30<dihedral:#openttd>sadly
04:30<dihedral:#openttd>well
04:30<dihedral:#openttd>sadly if they feel they have to show that to everybody
04:30<man9o0:#openttd>that is the basis of the porn industry
04:30<TheJosh:#openttd>are you sayng enjoy, as in from the depths of their being and their humanity they enjoy it? or are you saying superficcaly enjopy?
04:30<TheJosh:#openttd>because i think there are peple that do enjoy it
04:31<dihedral:#openttd>man9o0: the basis of the porn industry is men who want to see what they dont have and dont want to be seen, and pay moeny for that
04:31<TheJosh:#openttd>but deep down, way at the deepest part of their heart, they hate it, every last minute of it
04:31<@petern:#openttd>dihedral, and i know women who love it
04:31<@petern:#openttd>also
04:31<man9o0:#openttd>the ones who are enjoying it are the webcam users..the adult entertainment industry is usually only interested in the monitary aspect of it
04:31<@petern:#openttd>WOMEN VIEW PORN TOO
04:31<TheJosh:#openttd>and with thay I have to go, I have to be somewhere in 15 mins.
04:31<@petern:#openttd>yes
04:31<@petern:#openttd>see
04:32<el_en:#openttd>TheJosh: how the hell do you know how they feel about it in the deepest part of their heart?
04:32<fonsinchen:#openttd>Women view different kinds of porn, though
04:32<@petern:#openttd>fonsinchen, depends on the women... and, indeed, depends on the man
04:32<TheJosh:#openttd>el_en: And you think you do?
04:32<dihedral:#openttd>sure there are women who like it! does that mean ALL women: nope
04:32<el_en:#openttd>i gotta go too, let's continue this some other day.
04:32<fonsinchen:#openttd>on average
04:32<dihedral:#openttd>does it make it easier for men to distinguish?
04:32<dihedral:#openttd>nope
04:32<TheJosh:#openttd>el_en: Its just humainty
04:32<@petern:#openttd>sure there are men who like it! does that mean ALL men: nope
04:32<el_en:#openttd>TheJosh: no, i don't. but i don't even try to understand woman's thoughts thoroughly.
04:32<@petern:#openttd>i love these stupid arguments
04:32<man9o0:#openttd>bye josh
04:32<man9o0:#openttd>bye ellen
04:32<@petern:#openttd>lol

He would get another day off later instead. He had to say no because the union would punish him for driving too many days during a single month. It wasn't due to safety but because workers shouldn't work too much
14:48<@Bjarni:#openttd>the fact that he would get the 1st, 2nd and 3rd days of the next month off didn't matter

14:52<@Bjarni:#openttd>the airline then decided to hire Asian crew for the planes going to Asia. They only need €1400/month for the same work and they have the same training

17:42<TinoDidriksen:#openttd>Have to think differently...Subversion doesn't have tags. It's merely a copy of the trunk at that point in time, used for organizational purposes. You can even commit changes into a "tagged" branch. So it will still show increasing revision numbers, even if nothing in that part is changing.
