10:39<@peter1138>240GB SSD should be enough, right?
10:40<BtbN>enough for 240GB, yeah
10:40<@peter1138>hurr hurr
10:40<BtbN>My entire OS is on a 120G SSD
10:41<BtbN>and it's still 50% free
10:42<Jake|afk>For the OS and any applications that benefit from the faster load times, it's plenty. You might want to invest in a conventional hard drive for storing all your video files on though.
10:42<TinoDidriksen>And with transparent compression, you can save 25% space of the OS.
10:44-!-HerzogDeXtEr [~Flex@i59F6A5CB.versanet.de] has joined #openttd
10:44<@peter1138>i'm thinking OS and, uh, Steam apps :p
10:44<@peter1138>i don't have any video files o_O
10:45<@planetmaker>dd /dev/sda2 /dev/peter1138 :D
10:45<@planetmaker>missing if= and of=...
10:45<BtbN>my Steam dir is 450G :>
10:45<Jake|afk>That ought to be more than enough then. I tend to download rather than streaming where possible though.
10:46<@peter1138>...
10:46<@peter1138>i don't stream videos either
10:46<@planetmaker>eat?
10:46<@peter1138>yeah, i eat
10:46<@planetmaker>crunchy
10:47<Jake|afk>Or more often just buy the DVD because even torrenting is too expensive on my broadband package.
10:47<@peter1138>i don't watch videos on my pc
10:48<@planetmaker>:-) I've no other means than to do so ;-)
10:48*Rubidium just "streams" mpeg2 content
10:48<Jake|afk>Me neither unless you count the TV in the living room shared between me, my big sister and her kids.
10:49<@peter1138>..
10:49<@peter1138>that sounds like a strange arrangement
10:52<Jake|afk>Not really. I pay her a fairly token rent for the spare bedroom, and I haven't really got space in here for a PC *and* a television.
10:54<Jake|afk>I also have a much nicer speaker system up here for my PC than the old 14-inch CRT telly from a charity shop in the lounge.

14:04<andythenorth>frosch123: I've had this source image for ages http://www.fao.org/docrep/b3200e/b3200e0h.jpg
14:05<frosch123>i think elephants would fit heqs
14:05<frosch123>slow and carrying lots
14:05<frosch123>compared to horse trams
14:05<andythenorth>do they autorefit?
14:05<frosch123>they are not refittable to food
14:05<frosch123>and fruit
14:06<frosch123>they autoempty on the travel

14:13<andythenorth>number of elephants can change at stations?
14:14<frosch123>hmm, you could eat one, so only make them less?
14:14<andythenorth>elephants can make more elephants
14:14<andythenorth>as long as you have two or more
14:15<frosch123>ah, so you may not drop below two

19:54<SgtGeneralCase>Sounds like Fast Chess :)
19:57<Eddi|zuHause>and while we're ranting, why does scummvm screw up all window sizes and positions when going full-screen?
19:57<SgtGeneralCase>Eddi|zuHause: that's a bug of Xorg :/
19:57<SgtGeneralCase>or SDL (whichever you like to blame)
19:57<Eddi|zuHause>but neither wine nor dosbox do that
19:59<SgtGeneralCase>Let me find my bug
19:59<SgtGeneralCase>http://bugzilla.libsdl.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1058
19:59<Eddi|zuHause>when wine goes to fullscreen, and properly exits, then all my windows are back where they belong
20:02<SgtGeneralCase>SDL_VIDEO_X11_XRANDR=0 scummvm ...
20:02<SgtGeneralCase>Try-and-see what it does.

20:02<Eddi|zuHause>that seems to work better
20:03<Eddi|zuHause>second thing: scummvm gets distorted aspect ratio when fullscreen
20:03<SgtGeneralCase>The bug is now 2 years old. It looks like they reverted it for 1.3, but alas, SDL-1.3 has not hit the scene anytime.
20:03<Eddi|zuHause>not only because of 16:9 screen, but it adds additional black bars at the top and bottom, to distort it even more
20:05<SgtGeneralCase>dosbox is happy with my 16:10 screen
