06:01<@Alberth>o/
06:02<Wolf01>Windows updates again...
06:04<Wolf01>I need to fix a little the bandwidth management from the router, it's not possible that the entire network get disconnected because one pc wants to update using all the available bandwidth
06:06<Wolf01>What's the mask for IP numbers > x.x.x.100?
06:06<@Alberth>there isn't one
06:06<SpComb>it's not a binary prefix
06:07<Wolf01>Meh, I should reorganize my network
06:07<SpComb>there's .128/25 for 128-255
06:07<SpComb>I prefer to number subnets using a /16 and then divide hosts into /24 groups by function
06:07<SpComb>for random internally addressed networks that is
06:10<Wolf01>I need to move the router on the other subnet, I have both the router and the wifi gateway in the same one, I don't think is possible to limit the wifi subnet without limit the routere itself too :E
06:14-!-ConductorCat [~Conductor@2604:6000:1405:2033:5d6a:65fa:7040:be2e] has joined #openttd
06:16<Wolf01>Maybe router, wifi gateway, printer and nas on the first block, all static ip pc on the second one, everything on the wifi on the 4th one, the 3rd one unused
06:24<Wolf01>Too bad is impossible to limit the bandwidth for specific services... everything uses port 80 or 443 for download
06:25<Wolf01>Oh, nice, the winner is "my phone", it just asked for a restart to update and the traffic suddenly stopped
06:41<Milek7>why not use dynamic shaping?
06:44<Wolf01>Because I have an old router and that's what I can do
06:45<Wolf01>I can limit the bandwidth for specific ports (not ranges) or IP (with mask)
06:46<Wolf01>And it seem to not work at all, if I set rules for static IP it doesn't show any traffic
06:46<Wolf01>(without limit)
06:49<Wolf01>If I limit the bandwidth it seem to do something, but not really much, like on steam I see the download speed halved if I put half of the available bandwidth, but eventually it gets the full bandwidth after a while...

07:43<V453000>gg lawyered
07:44<andythenorth>V453000 I was going to say look at Russian trains, because they look strange because unfamiliar
07:44<andythenorth>http://www.railpictures.net/showphotos.php?offset=270&where=search%7C-2%7C-2%7CRussia%7C%7C-2%7C%7C90%7C1%7C%7C%7C%7C%7C%7C%7C%7C-2%7CRussia%7C%7C-2%7C-2%7C%7C%7C90%7C-2%7C-2%7C%7C%7C%7C%7C%7C1%7C%7C1%7C%7C%7C%7C%7C%7C%7C
07:44<andythenorth>but actually
07:44<andythenorth>probably not so strange where you are
07:44<andythenorth>you have strangest trains already
07:44<andythenorth>those bubble-eyed skodas
07:44<V453000>I think czech republic actually still uses a lot of russian origin trains up to this day
07:44<V453000>they are disappearing, but yeah
07:44<andythenorth>http://www.railpictures.net/photo/575353/
07:45<andythenorth>I just like the heft on this http://www.railpictures.net/photo/567962/
07:45<andythenorth>looks brute
07:45<V453000>I think that's normal here
07:45<V453000>but tbh I don't follow trains
07:45<andythenorth>also http://www.railpictures.net/photo/553929/
07:45<V453000>yeah not that red one
07:45<V453000>this is a little familiar
07:46<andythenorth>blue ones look like they could survive in space :P
07:46<andythenorth>russian engineering
07:46<andythenorth>bolt on more sticky-out bits
07:46<V453000>http://www.railpictures.net/photo/543072/ this is the most common tram in czech republic
07:46<andythenorth>seen those in Prague probly
07:46<andythenorth>more brute http://www.railpictures.net/photo/531144/
07:46<MonkeyDrone>these crashes are driving me up the wall x.x
07:47<MonkeyDrone>gonna swithc to 32bit ottd install and see if that helps
07:47<V453000>MonkeyDrone: server rekt?
07:47<MonkeyDrone>V453000: client-side
07:47<V453000>openttd crashing? wat
07:47<V453000>unheard of :D
07:47<MonkeyDrone>just random crashes, happening constantly, reinstalled 64bit , now ggrabbing 32bit
07:47<andythenorth>ah, here is Road Hog dump tram I already drew http://railpictures.net/photo/582215/
07:48<MonkeyDrone>V453000: it has only started after the windows 10 anniversary update...
07:48<andythenorth>nice when reality keeps up with andythenorth sprites
07:48<MonkeyDrone>although i've done a clean install but windows...
07:48<V453000>andythenorth: <3
07:49<Wolf01><andythenorth> blue ones look like they could survive in space :P <- I bet the steam one is more suitable for space
07:49<Wolf01>At least is what anime always suggested
07:49<MonkeyDrone>all i hear is pollution in space :D
07:50<MonkeyDrone>V453000: http://i.imgur.com/rwmmPsl.jpg
07:50<Wolf01>The blue ones look like they came from a kids cartoon, maybe it's because of the white painting on windows
07:51<Wolf01>MonkeyDrone lol what game is that, it looks so good.. oh wait... the good old OTTD
07:51<MonkeyDrone>:D yes, it's messing with my head
07:51<V453000>looks like your ram MonkeyDrone
07:51<V453000>or something
07:52<V453000>cache is loaded into ram I assume
07:52<MonkeyDrone>I assume as well, shouldn't be a problem though. Have 16gigs
07:53<MonkeyDrone>don't even know why it says it wants 2 gigs, I kept it all at 512 in the configs to being with
07:54<Wolf01>Which baseset are you using?
07:54<V453000>is opengfx with rawr as static it looks like
07:56<Wolf01>Oh, I never downloaded it
07:57<Wolf01>I would start a new game with only single track network and signals just at junctions

13:13<andythenorth>nobdoy can type today
13:13<Wolf01>Now I need to think about how to service the factory, the train will be longer than the rail between the factory and the city

13:18<Wolf01>Maybe
13:19<andythenorth>I have lost quite a few
13:19<andythenorth>hard settings, hard grfs, bad choices
13:19<andythenorth>also ‘ignore signals’ :P

13:20<Wolf01>Oh, yes, I don't play on hard, no need to hurt myself even on this kind of game
13:21<Wolf01>I play it "out of the box", usually with just eyecandy grfs and more industries/railtypes
13:22<supermop>first time i lost in a decade was playing IS with Alkel_U3
13:22<supermop>ran basically a rail network that was all cost no revenue
13:22<supermop>the more i connected it, the worse it got
13:23<supermop>because i didnt have the big city termini, just lines that ended up carrying passengers to other services to those cities

14:27<MonkeyDrone>so frosch123 added a comment to my bug report, "
14:27<MonkeyDrone>Some news message seems to contain some text that breaks ICU." what's this ICU? :D
14:28<frosch123>the text renderer
14:28<MonkeyDrone>ah, so anything i can do about it as it stands?
14:28<MonkeyDrone>i am using the fonts from the wiki in the ottd config
14:29<MonkeyDrone>would changing those help?
14:30<frosch123>maybe, do any of the news show up?
14:30<@Alberth>to some that exist, and have the right characters, yes, could work
14:30<frosch123>maybe it's about the "large font"
14:30<frosch123>only the news uses them
14:30<MonkeyDrone>i can't tell, i'm playing and it just crashes, wouldn't be able to tell if it crashes the game when it renders the news..
14:30<MonkeyDrone>i'm instantly at the desktop
14:30<frosch123>well, did you see *any* news? :p
14:31<frosch123>or crashes it on the *first* news :)
14:31<frosch123>if it's the *first* news, then definitely change your "large font"
14:31<MonkeyDrone>lol, i don't recall seeing news but i will check the large font
14:31<MonkeyDrone>first news would be train arriving at station first time correct?
14:32<frosch123>"times new roman" sounds rather boring though
14:32<MonkeyDrone>i had it customized before, just need to find my original config..
14:33<MonkeyDrone>citizens celebrate, first train arrived at x, worked fine
14:33<MonkeyDrone>lol nope
14:33<MonkeyDrone>it died after a few seconds of that
14:34<Eddi|zuHause>so when you try to close the news?
14:35<MonkeyDrone>changed font, no more crash
14:35<MonkeyDrone>i'll try new roman again and see if it really is the issue
14:36<MonkeyDrone>it is, asap train landed at station == crash
14:36<MonkeyDrone>i think wiki should be modified to remove Times New Roman for now
14:37<MonkeyDrone>thank you for the help, nightmare is over <3
14:37<frosch123>what font size did you set?
14:38<MonkeyDrone>default of 20
14:38<MonkeyDrone>small_font = Arial
14:38<MonkeyDrone>medium_font = Tahoma Bold
14:38<MonkeyDrone>large_font = Arial
14:38<MonkeyDrone>mono_font = Courier New
14:38<MonkeyDrone>small_size = 11
14:38<MonkeyDrone>medium_size = 12
14:38<MonkeyDrone>large_size = 20
14:38<MonkeyDrone>mono_size = 12
14:40<frosch123>well, arial is prettier anyway
14:40<MonkeyDrone>definitely , looks a lot nicer now

18:20<Samu>alright, just took note of the ship results
18:20<Samu>there are some surprises
18:21<Samu>AIs seem to have a preference for NPF
