11:28<cvarrick>faheem_: you create a file called info.php or whatever and it gets called like a regular php function. so your file is just <?php phpinfo(); ?>
11:28<cvarrick>faheem_: it generates a whole configuration output and will show the values for all settings
11:29<faheem_>cvarrick: Oh. I guess I will need to create such a page then.
11:31<faheem_>cvarrick: Ok, I'm looking at the page now.

11:34<cvarrick>faheem_: how does the uplaod fail? error messages in the apache log?

11:37<faheem_>cvarrick: Yes, uploading small files works fine.
11:38<faheem_>cvarrick: It is a size issue. Anyway, thanks for your help.

22:38<DanDare>now this is some very basic question: how to check system messages delivered by system to 'root' in debian?
22:39|-|lucasmonsores [] has quit [Quit: Leaving]
22:41<Xenguy>DanDare: edit /etc/alias and configure root mail to be delivered to the user of your choice ?
22:41<Xenguy>er, /etc/aliases
22:41<DanDare>Xenguy, ok thanks this is one But how to check those messages? How to open it?
22:42<Xenguy>DanDare: you need an email client (I use Mutt, but there are many)...
22:42<Xenguy>DanDare: is that what you mean?
22:42<DanDare>its something that i should configure in sendmail protocol?
22:42<DanDare>i just dont know how to access such mails stored localy
22:43<Xenguy>DanDare: you have an MTA (like sendmail, postfix, exim) installed, yes?
22:43<DanDare>i think its exim
22:43<Xenguy>DanDare: that's the default in debian yes
22:43<DanDare>should i try dpkg-reconfigure exim ?
22:44<reflect>where can I find a list of servers for apt-get
22:44<Xenguy>DanDare: you could try that, sure...
22:44<DanDare>ok i will start doing this so
22:44<user01>gsimmons, and i just read this on a blog:
22:44<Xenguy>DanDare: to make sure that local delivery is happening (if that is what you want to see)
22:44<user01>gsimmons, sooner or later everybody will have to use dpkg --force, especially dpkg --force-overwrite, because dpkg not being able to overwrite a file from one package with another is one of the most common error messages which need manual intervention
22:44<DanDare>reflect, you mean about oficial debian servers?
22:44<reflect>the one i normally use is down
22:45<dpkg>debian mirrors is, like, or | ask me about <apt-setup> or <apt-spy> | to make a mirror, see
22:45<Xenguy>reflect: debian web site has a list of mirrors IIRC

22:46<reflect>yup it does, I found it

22:46<DanDare>oh dpkg rules
22:47<bighornram>when I try to play an asf file in iceweasel it says i need mplayer2 plugin. google says it installs with mplayer package though I have installed purged and installed 3 times, still no go, any tips?
22:48<gsimmons>user01: The maintainer of texlive-latex-base just forgot to remove mllatex.ini from that package. It's since been fixed in unstable.

22:52<DanDare>dpkg-reconfigure exim4-config says: " A system with a dynamic IP address can receive its own mail, or local delivery can be disabled entirely (except mail for root and postmaster)." so i cant have normaly a way to send messages for root delivered trought internet to me?
