I have ~/.procmailrc and thera are some settings and one rule. The rule is working (i can see it in the logs), but is saves message not in the cuirer imap files, but just in a file like msg.AUGg and i can not see that files in my mail client.

03:38<saintk>chealer: Isn't there a standard way to remove stuff which got installed outside of apt ? (the readme documentation only tells about install, not de-install)

03:39<chealer>saintk: no
03:40<dli_>saintk, you may want to try checkinstall, but I still suggest you to backport first, if you want newer versions
03:41<saintk>chealer: Allright thanks, i always thought i was missing some information about a uniform way of de-installing, but turns out i'm not missing it as it doesn't excist then :)
03:41<saintk>dli_: backport?
03:41<dpkg>somebody said backport was a package from a newer Debian branch, compiled from source for an older branch to avoid dependency and ABI complications., Ask me about <simple sid backport> and <backport caveat>, <>
03:41<kon>i love backports
03:41<dli_>saintk, if you loves building your own, try backport first

03:45<dpkg>checkinstall is probably a program that tracks all files installed by "make install" (or equivalent), creates a Debian (or other) Package with those files, and adds it to the installed packages database, allowing for easy package removal or distribution. | Not in etch because of bug #281823 Ask me about <stow>.

14:32<enouf>no worries - i'm mostly guessing - the only other thing i can think of is your kernel initrd's do not contain the same modules, and maybe one you're used to using isn't present in the newer kernel's initrd - we can go there later though (and it really doesn't make much sense) - oh - prior, you could try placing (list) needed modules into /etc/modules (though, i don't know if the upgrade would've touched that file or not)

21:15<bugaloo>meoblast001: but used to work on fedora, so I think there is a way to do that on debian

21:19<abrotman>you need a regular deb source line too .. not just deb-src

21:24<bugaloo>ok, but... I was using it untill now... should I have some trouble here? :/
21:25<bugaloo>Indeed, I installed the etch version at the beginning... so I change the repos and upgrade it... and it started to show lenny/sid on login... so I think it upgraded to that, right?
21:26<bugaloo>so I kept using that repos
21:26<bugaloo>not sure if this was the right thing to do
21:27<joedalton>hi everybody
21:28<bugaloo>hi joedalton
21:29<joedalton>I've installed lenny on a personnal server and webmin to ease the administration, but I red that it was not really secure, is there any alternative to this kind of web interface ? (without being axed toward commercial web hosting)

21:48<marc__>I am running ibex on a 64 bit machine and could someone please tell me what java I need to run for 64 bit, obvious sun is not it?
21:48<rgr>I did, but I never got around to it because I got conflicting advice.
21:48<rgr>But how can I resize my root LV? Do I need to boot to a live cd? And in which case which one?
21:53<gsimmons>rgr: By using lvresize/lvextend, then increase the size of the filesystem. You can grow an ext3 filesystem while mounted if it has the resize_inode feature. Otherwise use a live CD (eg. Debian Live).
