00:49<kcin8>btw can i use an old kernel config file and load it on ? without causing any problems or would it be best re-making the config from scratch ?
00:51<clocker>jordanm, nethogs gives applications as well as other network activity and that's what I was after.
00:51<clocker>Finally found an app for this!

06:18<MrCPlusPlus>Hi guys! I'm having trouble with cpu exceptions on Debian. What I need is something like throwing an exception in the signal handler for SIGFPE, but all my attempts to do this have failed. I've also tried implementing a signal handler with longjmp back to safe code, but still my application exits. Any suggestions? I am using the kernel and gcc from Debian Lenny. Do you know of any patches or flags that I can use to make cpu exceptions throw exceptions sim

11:39<shevin>we read that if u have complied software for the cpu

11:39<shevin>nokia 3250 has an ARM cpu

17:34<BarackO>Laszio: use dmesg to figure out whether your network hardware is being recognised correctly 1st

17:35<valdyn>BarackO: the scripts should go by the major and minor numbers
17:36<jhutchins_lt>lmde is NOT debian. Essential things like networking are exactly where the differences lie.
17:36<valdyn>BarackO: alternatively lvm scripts or mount need to use the proper names

17:37<valdyn>BarackO: device nodes have 3 id values, thats the device type, the major number and the minor number, do ls -l /dev/ to see
17:37<Laszio>Valdyn: That is when performing the command with "eth1", if I use "eh0" the output specifies that there is 'No such device'
