01:04<bones_was_here>modprobe coretemp
01:05<bones_was_here>if it works, add coretemp on a line by itself to /etc/modules
01:06<Bushmills>or acpi -t
01:06<Bushmills>or maybe mbmon

02:04<Luminous>I'm writing a Debian setup script, for future installs of Debian, and I wonder about something. I want to be able to install and set Gnome icon and Metacity themes. I've posted the files on my personal webserver, so where to get them isn't the issue, but is there a way to manage themes from the command line?
02:05<Luminous>This isn't a deal breaker it just takes a few seconds, but every task I can add to this setup script would make my life that much easier.

05:24<SynrG>no, you can pxe boot with just a local network connection if apt is configured to point at the local apt cachcing proxy
05:24<SynrG>er, sorry, i'm conflating two issues
05:25<SynrG>you can pxe boot without the apt cache at all, obviously.
05:25<SynrG>but after pxe booting, you'll want to install packages next
05:25<davide_>ok i summarize,
05:26-!-chris__ [] has quit []
05:26<davide_>i installa debian via pxe or netinstall on the first server.
05:26<SynrG>yes. obviously, *that* machine needs internet or at least access to a local mirror
05:26<davide_>2 -> the first server is apt-cache and pxe server
05:26*SynrG nods
05:26<Black_Prince>If all servers are attached to one that server as server to them, that machine needs to have dhcp installed, also ...
05:27<Black_Prince>s/server as server/serves as router/
05:27<SynrG>Black_Prince: dhcp server needs to be colocated on the pxe boot server?
05:28<SynrG>that's a bit of an annoyance
05:28<lindi->SynrG: colocated?
05:28<SynrG>the same server hosts both the pxe server and the dhcp server
05:28<Black_Prince>dhcp will assign an address to pxe client and tell it for which filename to look on root of tftp server.
05:29<SynrG>lindi-: annoying because i have basic network services on my dlink running openwrt, but disk space and other resources on other systems
05:29<lindi->SynrG: I have dhcp server and tftp server on separate hosts
05:29<lindi->SynrG: and d-i works
05:29<SynrG>nothing stops me from making the openwrt box a pxe server, i suppose. just a minor annoyance
05:30<lindi->SynrG: the dhcp server is an alix box without moving parts
05:30<Bushmills>SynrG: there's dnsmasq on openwrt, which provides all you need for a net boot server
