05:51<safinaskar>double debootstrap broke host system! steps to reproduce: you should have squeeze host system. run "debootstrap squeeze /tmp/target" and then "debootstrap wheezy /tmp/target" (yes, you should use same directory). and then you host will not work! "ls" will fail with message: "/bin/ls: not found" etc. then type "ldconfig" to solve problem

07:28<XeroXer>Hi all, I have a bit of a temperature problem with my laptop running debian 6 testing. I installed only the base and the laptop packages and have then installed fluxbox (had the same problem in gnome). When for example Chromium loads a HTML5, CSS3 page it takes most processor power and the temperature goes up to 96 degress, which shuts down the computer.

07:42<NicoKa>Bonjour !

13:24<koollman>I finally found a way to boot my server ... and now ... I found a debian bug. maybe I should go home :)
13:26<stummi>are you sure its a debian bug?
13:27<koollman>yes, pretty sure. I have nis and nfs mounts and autofs set up. nis is configured to start before nfs because I need it
13:27-!-TheCrittaC [] has quit [Remote host closed the connection]
13:27<koollman>but ... before nis starts, the network goes up, and calls if-up.d/mountnfs
13:28<koollman>which kind of defeat the purpose of ordering mountnfs after nis

17:24<Aleric>The UUID is still there and the same according to blkid
17:24<scientes>yes, but with encrypted swap it is running mkswap on the encrypted layer every boot
17:25<Aleric>No, can't... cause a swap uses a random key; so it's recreated every time. It doesn't matter if I overwrite it with anything in between.
17:25<scientes>as I said, it is making a random key to mount the encrypted raw block device, then running mkswap, and then mounting that swap over loopback
17:25<Aleric>I just wondered if the UUID would survive the start up of the encryption, and it did.
