05:23<themill>EmleyMoor: in version strings, ~ sorts lower than everything; /msg dpkg compare versions. The only way around this might be to rebuild the packages with different dependencies (adding in a ~ would be sufficient)

05:24<themill>specifically so you can just dist-upgrade from squeeze-backports to wheezy at some stage in the future

13:10<arand>So it's not really converting, as much as starting from scratch and taking hints from their packaging, I would guess
13:10<babilen>ayreon: There is no way to semi-automatically debianize an ARCH package. You can, however, request that somebody packages the software (/msg dpkg rfp) and install the software locally in the meantime. I would recommend to use stow to handle these installations to /usr/local (/msg dpkg stow -- /msg dpkg stow usage)

19:42<blueunix>well... I should have known this... the config file for tftpd-hpa is in the '/etc/default' directory.... just like the config file for isc-dhcp-server

21:47<sney>ok, the firepro 4800 is in the same gpu series as the radeon 5xxx, so it should Just Work for some purposes with radeon/firmware-linux-nonfree, and the fglrx in squeeze should also cover you if you need more performance
21:47<sney>radeon on its own without the firmware package is probably what's giving you that grind, so to speak
