04:06<andrew>Hi. I have my home computer (debian stable) setup with an SSH server and this computer has all of my music on it. I was wondering if there was a way to load these files into rhythembox on my work computer and play them as if they were on my local computer (also debian stable) without actually putting them on my local computer here at work
04:06<jm_>and if you do the same once the system is booted?

22:37<youlysses>Which is always good to hear! Still want to see a distro like gnewsense to bundle it for the casuals though. (Not to say installing/maintaining Debian is hard ... just not ideal for someone like my Mum, Pop, or Sis ... :-P)
22:38<scientes>youlysses, gnewsense is just ubuntu without the non-free parts
22:38<scientes>youlysses, and debian doesn't have any nonfree software in the defaut channels
22:38<youlysses>It's almost migrated to 100 debian.
22:38<scientes>oh thanks for the information, i didn't know
22:38<scientes>debian has progressed since i started using it, it didn't use to have an installable live CD
22:39<scientes>and you can help make wheezy better
22:39<youlysses>And I know, but debian is also a "general" distro while something like gnewsense is aimed to the "ubuntu"/mint/fedora crowd.

22:43<youlysses>That's great to hear! It'd be nice to have a dvd image, though.... :-P
22:44<scientes>youlysses, not really
22:44<scientes>you can always burn a cd image to a dvd
22:45<scientes>and a cd is big enough when xz compressed to hold a reasonable system
22:45<youlysses>It'd be a nice to show what gnu/linux could do, to a new user. Kind of like a "display"...
22:46<youlysses>Idk. :-P
22:46<scientes>youlysses, a live cd is really too slow for normal use
