I was looking around the folders and files contained in the ISO image and I noticed that some of the folders was named ``KDE" and some other desktop enviroments. When I install it on a computer, and I choose to install the desktop enviroment, will it defualt to Gnome (I wish to have Gnome) and not KDE?

10:46<ompaul>EmleyMoor: I did it once a long time ago - really painful, nowadays I just point the windows box directly at the printer - but if I understand your question 100% the answer you want is to present cups via samba - however not done that
10:47<ompaul>EmleyMoor: however I found a way of converting the windows boxes into debian boxs and suddenly cups made more sense :-)
10:47<EmleyMoor>ompaul: You can't really point the box directly at a parallel printer on another system, can you? samba should not be necessary, Windows can use IPP...

12:08<richardk>wide, fdisk?
12:08<richardk> -b sectorsize
12:08<richardk> Specify the sector size of the disk. Valid values are 512, 1024, 2048 or 4096. (Recent kernels know the sector size. Use this only
12:08<richardk> on old kernels or to override the kernel's ideas.) Since util-linux-2.17, fdisk differentiates between logical and physical sector
12:08<richardk> size. This option changes both sector sizes to sectorsize.
