00:03<coreyb>anyone running lxde & openbox in debian stable?

00:06-!-offsidecrawdad [] has joined #debian
00:06<Jef91>pparadis, can you help or just want to jerk me around?
00:07<pparadis>Jef91: now that you put it that way, the answer is "no." i was going to help you, had actually just fired up a wheezy VM, and asked you what the underlying question was in the other #debian on freenode.
00:07<pparadis>Jef91: you just burned that though. have a nice evening. we're all volunteers here.
00:07<Jef91>Thanks peace.
00:08<Jef91>Anyone else who wants to be helpful I'm looking for the contents of the /etc/inittab file from a default wheezy

00:08<coreyb>hey pparadis! how are ya? would you happen to know the answer to my question?
00:10-!-taiten [~TaitenP@] has quit [Ping timeout: 480 seconds]
00:10<pparadis>coreyb: \o man :)
00:10<pparadis>coreyb: just a sec, lemme look at scrollback
00:11<pparadis>ah, lxde and openbox, right? i'm not running that combo; i'm into gnome2 and xfce these days. what sort of issue are you having, though? maybe i have a clue, maybe i don't.
00:11<sney_>I have lxde/openbox on a terminal system at $workplace
00:11-!-chitchat [] has joined #debian
00:11<coreyb>well. when i try to use copy & paste using pcmanfm it... doesn't. but i still can in terminal
00:12<sney_>I remember seeing this, I think it's a limitation in pcmanfm unfortunately
00:13<sney_>open two pcmanfm windows and do it that way

00:14<pparadis>darn trigger
00:15<coreyb>i like nautilus but i like how fast pcmanfm feels. do you guys have any alternatives?
00:15<sney_>I pretty much just use mv and cp
00:15<coreyb>thats because your pro sney_
00:16<sney_>more like it's because I'm old
00:16<sney_>I think kde's file manager is pretty decent, but I don't really use those things unless I need to find an image or something else that benefits from having visible icons
00:17<coreyb>i installed lxde and it is so much more responsive on my system than gnome2 was for sure.
00:17<coreyb>the default file manager feels fast too... its just that nautilus felt nicer.
00:17<coreyb>i wonder if there something that has the best of both worlds
00:17<coreyb>low resources + fast + responsive

10:24<sungetzu>Hi guys, I'm having some trouble with nvidia drivers on squeeze. I installed via dkms(that's including the squeeze-backports). Because there was no xorg.conf file; i generated it using the nvidia-xconfig package. I've tried editing my xorg.conf manually before also; same results. I'm currently logged in recovery mode; hoping to send my logs via pastebinit over irssi. But, for some reason; i have no internet connection. ANY IDEAS? (driving me crazy)

19:44<clint_>I have 12.04 and what I did was; installed advanced setting for themes, went to gnome look site, dl'd a theme, made a folder .theme in home, extracted theme, copied theme, pasted to .theme folder AND it went away from my HUD and is grey now
19:45<retrospectacus>!ubuntuirc clint_
19:45<dpkg>clint_: This is not the Ubuntu help channel. Please do /server and then /join #ubuntu. If you are using XChat, you can right-click the following link and choose connect. irc://
19:45<clint_>then what is it, sorry?
19:46<pparadis>this is #debian, which is for debian support.
19:46<clint_>then why the FUCK is it on UBUNTU 12.04?
19:46<retrospectacus>go ask ubuntu, why would we know that?
19:46<pparadis>clint_: ask the ubuntu folks about that.
19:47<pparadis>and have a nice day.
19:47<retrospectacus>anyways it's an irc channel, it's not ON anything except the Internet
19:47<clint_>I just asked a simple question
19:47<themill>(there was also a manual action of choosing which irc network to connect to involved)
19:47<clint_>what is the big deal, did I spill wine on your carpet?
