04:45<geo83>hi every one. i havea bit of a problem has any one any spare time to give me some advice?
04:45<dpkg>If you have a question, just ask! For example: "I have a problem with ___; I'm running Debian version ___. When I try to do ___ I get the following output ___. I expected it to do ___." Don't ask if you can ask, if anyone uses it, or pick one person to ask. We're all volunteers; make it easy for us to help you. If you don't get an answer try a few hours later or on See <smart questions><errors>.
04:47<geo83>!ask How can I stop my music playing getting muted when I open a website that has a flash video etc?
04:48<jm_>you mean music is playing, but then you visit a site with flash in the browser and music stops?

09:59<WoO>yes. Which imposes two problems: suggested solution is a hack and not production ready. And the other thing is: code not available

10:01<bluegoon>Hey guys
10:01<WoO> seems to have the latest and greatst but that sounds scary
10:01<SynrG>if you can live with "is a hack and not production ready" that is
10:01<WoO>not really as I am installing a server for people with very little skills
10:01<WoO>yet I do really really need mysql 5.5
10:01<themill>running wheezy instead is probably easier. If you're doing this sort of dodging around, then "stable" isn't really so much of a requirement
10:02<WoO>and that works fine. Just not from php
10:02<themill>(or use a different db)
10:02<WoO>the db I use is MariaDB5.5 instead of MySQL so I can integrate it with PAM for password checking

22:30<rainfyre>does it recognise your wireless card?

23:51<gsimmons>jenenliu: You can use either the in-tree brcm80211 driver (/msg dpkg brcm80211) or compile/install the out-of-tree proprietary vendor driver (/msg dpkg wl). The BCM4313 is not supported by the b43 driver.
