13:00<piper>dboles: yes, it is whats your point
13:00<dboles>nothing, just to maybe chill out, we had a bit of OT and it's OK
13:01<dboles>then someone said maybe it should go to another channel. no big deal
13:01<weedloser>not really a big deal
13:01<weedloser>the debian offtopic channel is liberal
13:01<dboles>i agree with you generally and don't think this channel is usually overly unfair about that; it's not like anyone saying any OT stuff gets immediately kicked or whatever
13:01<coruja>but it's good practice (not just in here) to keep off-topic down when support is being done
13:01<dboles>course, i haven't been doing it for as long as you, so i deer
13:02<weedloser>ironically, we're really offtopic now
13:02<piper>coruja: bingo, i said that above ;)
13:02<coruja>piper, too much off-topic to read completely ;)
13:02<weedloser>can't say i don't agree, but it's not really a big deal.
13:03<piper>this is why debian irc is talked about in other forums and to ignore the place at all costs ;)
13:04<piper>most refer it to the dickheads, but, i do help out when i can, but i also agree it can be much better, really have to go now, wife has my arm
13:04<dboles>yeah but it's a matter of what those forums are; if they're parrot script kiddy forums, then good!
13:04<dboles>have a good one!
13:04<coruja>i think it's up to the #debian irc 'team' to decide, what may be written here and what may not - as long as it's clearly communicated and makes sense (which it both does imho) no disagree from my side
