09:50<financeMann>easier to handle/respond to issues then

10:24<ozzie>Ahh right
10:24<jcanto>no ozzie, Linode is my choice

10:25<@jdfriedrikson>it also depends on your requirements in regards to benchmarks. while it's nice to say that you want the fastest, unless you have a specific goal than it's just a nebulous decision

10:26<petr_>I'll be specific: considering the Linode 4GB plan, (i) is it possible to store 4GB data a day, (ii) is it possible to store 4T in total, (iii is it possible to buy extra storage in case I need it and (iv) is it possible to send out all 4T of stored data in i.e. 1 week (and if not, can I buy some add-on that enables this)
10:26<jcanto>i moved to Linode, the difference is huge!!

19:58<fantasymashups>It's been 5 hours since I got any support on an urgent issue I am having with our site, I submitted the ticket through the managed services section
19:59<fantasymashups>I got it under control enough to make it look like the site is working but it's falling apart
20:00<fantasymashups>I'm really concerned with staying with Linode if our response time to tickets is 5 hrs for a response, not really sure what I should be expecting though
20:05<dzho>fantasymashups: I'm not now nor have I yet been a managed services customer, so I don't know either, but I am wondering--were you already a managed services customer before this incident, or are you looking to sign up with managed services now as the situation has presented itself?
20:07<dzho>If the former, I expect there to be some ramping up time, if the latter--I guess that depends on what you have and how that was set up, no?
20:07<dzho>er, other way round.

23:38<lonewulf1>Hello, as a 18month user of Linode, can I except to see a
23:38<lonewulf1>Denver location anytime soon?
23:38<lonewulf1>Thanks in advance.
23:41<Cromulent>no idea - probably best to ask Linode in a ticket I guess
23:41<lonewulf1>Will do, and thanks for that reply.
23:42<lonewulf1>I personally thought it would be a waste of a technicians time/efforts to open a ticke.
23:42<lonewulf1>I mean with this channel in exsistence
23:42<lonewulf1>.
23:43<lonewulf1>s/ticke./ticket.
23:43<Cromulent>linode staff don't always reply here as it is the user community and we don't know what linodes plans are for obvious reasons
23:43<Cromulent>seeing as we are just customers
23:43<lonewulf1>Hrmm
23:43<lonewulf1>Interesting
23:44<lonewulf1>I missed that read Linode's site where it says that this channel is for usr community only.
23:44<lonewulf1>boy thanks alot!
23:45<Cromulent>it is just an IRC channel for people to hang out in and help each other out
23:45<lonewulf1>I could of swore I read where Linode's site told me to come here and ask such a question.
23:46<lonewulf1>Welp, let me open that ticket.
